Cam's first interception yesterday.

RIvera says he should have gone with the run option to CMC. Says he was disappointed in that decision. For the record CMC would have run no where. 

 

 

What is more worrisome is that it isn't a bad pass. The corner runs Funchess's route for him and sells out completely. It is almost as if he knew exactly what was coming. 

Good protection. Good throw. God awful decision. God awful play call.

I would be fascinated if someone could fine the percentage of slants and post routes of our team and compare them to the rest of the NFL. That corner it was coming.

I know it was a play fake but check out the run blocking by the OL...like bordering on ineligible downfield territory...what's up with that?

Cam made the decision to throw and not to hand off.

They run the bang eight route with Funchess almost every game. The don't mix it up with a double move. Also, with Cam have a sore shoulder, DBs will be jumping routes,

Still don't like the throw. Could tell the corner was already two steps ahead. Cam could have seen that and adjusted for a better throw.

The CB jumped his route because Cam stares funchess down the entire time before he threw it.

It's pretty much a one read crapshoot in this scenario. The OL is run blocking, had Cam decided to wait it would have been ineligible WR downfield.

Its either

1. Let the RB keep it

2. Fire it quickly at Funchess

 If the pass had been completed, as always  he is a hero. But since it's not, and it's an interception, it's should've been could've been. 

The bottom line is once upon a time we had a high-powered offense. Now we do not. I put this on Dave just like a put it on Dave that we have no corners.

I'm not listening to anymore of Ron's interviews so I'll take your word for it. If he said this using hindsight, in public, to the media, it seems like a pussy move.

Cam had one place in mind from the get-go. Corner read it perfectly. As easy as it gets.
