This thread is whatvwer but talking about "the cmc effect" is just a way for...certain...posters to cover their ass after how embarrassingly over the top with enthusiasm they were.

He should be doing more but you can’t deny the effect he has on defenses. They really key on him.

they key on him because the panthers spent the first three games of the season spamming his button on the controller at the expense of offensive production

if you had spent the first three games trying to get....

/fires up the roster

...greg van roten 30 touches a game, defenders would be looking for him!

"CMCS PRESENCE THO" is the worst new huddle meme of 2017. weve had terrible offensive performances up until today where we played the worst defense in the NFL. his presence doesnt mean poo.

He's polished as a receiver like i said before, but his rushing is going to need some work, he's averaging under 3 a pop. still a little rich for 8th pick imo, but he's a hell of a receiver, if the decoy stuff is still working year 2 then he's def worth the pick

Stats mean nothing.  Watch the games.

Dude has been putting in work.  He's had a dynamic impact on the way defenses have to play the Panthers.  Doesn't look like he'll ever be a real bellcow though.

I would compare his running in between the tackles to LeVeon Bell's his rookie year. Bell just needed time for the game to slow down for him before he could use his vision and patience as the strengths that they've become and I think that'll be the case with McC as well. But also he needs to be able to get in a rhythm too. Can't do that with Stew having the role he's had so far.

He will never be that kind of back but he will be a good football player for a few years.

the panthers didn't do anything the first 3 weeks of the season offensively.

again, the patriots keyed in on him today not because of anything special about him, but because the panthers were force feeding him up until that point.

like CMC's best use will be as an accessory to an offense, which is uh not what you spend a high first rounder on.

The offense is based around Cam Newton not any running back.  Was he over drafted?  Probably, but we have to look at what we have not what we could've gotten.  We aren't in a position to make the decisions.
