Should we bench Worley?

The past few weeks Daryl Worley has been picked on a lot by opposing QB's. He has played 7, 8, 9. Hell, even 10+ yards off the line-of-scrimmage on most plays. Giving up 8-12 yard plays consistently when he is attacked. Then when he plays further up he gets burned by one of the slower (still talented) receivers in the game and Jeffrey. Then when he is in good coverage, he either gets a PI or doesn't make the play. He does have great tackling talent and is big enough to play safety (probably a more natural position for him.) Meaning we move a faster, more talented corner and Seymour to the #2 CB role. While at the same time having Worley be prepped for the starting safety position next season behind veteran Mike Adams. Thoughts?

To add to him lacking the instincts, him not recovering that muffed punt was terrible. His reaction was so delayed. It’s like he didn’t comprehend that the ball was on the ground.

Exactly--looked like he froze.

Potential game changer--although Shula probably would have fuged up.

    • I may be way off base, let’s include this in that questions thread, but with the way the offensive staff turned on each other in 2023 I am happy to see anyone involved, gone. I had a bad feeling about Caldwell over it.
    • No poo tho you might could Jenkins for Legette. They got nothing at WR after the big 2 in Cincy. I don’t think you trade away OL depth. Could get a quality player in cuts. Really that 3-4 end spot what you should be looking for is someone who is stout with long arms and can push back the OL in both the run and pass game for others to make plays…. But we signed Wharton, sometimes I think Evero is a fraud ass nerd who should be an analyst at best.
    • you would honestly probably do Monroe Freeling more of a disservice by putting him in a position where is not yet ready to succeed. .we all knew Monroe Freeling struggled at the NFL combine in drills because of technique related issues & would need time to develop  & now all of a sudden before they even put the pads on Monroe Freeling is somehow a starting LT in the NFL ? if he struggled at the NFL scouting combine what do you actually think is going to happen in a live NFL game at LT ? .even our best LT of all time was not ready to start at LT when he was a rookie & he turned out to be a pretty good darn LT by the name of Jordan Gross ...just saying be patient Young Jedis
