KB missing practice today with a knee injury, Kuechly back with helmet

Aside from pressers, where we hardly ever get much of anything, with a skeptical eye, watch social media, etc. for FACTS on exactly what Luke did today. The helmet itself isn't dispositive. Non contact position drills would point to stage four. Anything involving contact with other players or dummies (unfortunately, in a few cases those mean the same thing), means stage five, and that the team physician thinks he's good for full practice. However, he has to show no symptoms afterwards, and then still has to be cleared by the independent neurological consultant. As is, definitely a good sign.

Tough to go to social media for facts

Yeah I get what you're saying, but you don't sit your #1 receiver just to try to get better chemistry with your 3rd or 4th receiver.  Cam will watch film and see when and where he misses Shepard... don't need to sit KB to do that.

well notice i didnt say we should just sit him to get better chemistry with 3rds and 4ths. i was saying i wouldnt complain if Benji legit needed to take a week off for medical reasons, because maybe then Cam would start seeing his other wide open receivers lol

He didn't have a Concussion, Schefter exposed this Coaching Staff for sure.  They probably put him in the Protocol to be EXTRA cautious.

If he didn't have one then he would be practicing already, no? But he's still in the protocol (this is the doctors' not the coaches) which means he's almost certainly not playing this weekend

Look....Im just messing with you but you went from getting on people's cases for commenting without being a doctor to doing exactly the same thing each and every time Luke's situation is mentioned.

Just trying to contribute by injecting facts and logic into a thread full of speculation and emotion, which ain't easy around here, or under these circumstances. I'm well aware that I don't have any more info than anyone else can get on the WWW, but I often do get paid what some people might think is a crap load of money to review and analyze facts, documents, etc. Among other things, although not a physician, I do have a license to perform certain types of neurological and congnitive tests and diagnostic procedures on real live people in hospitals, clinics, etc. I don't do that much anymore though.

Therefore, since it's not too often that I can meaningfully contribute to an X and O thread, I simply thought I might share what I actually can do. I can stop, and really should, because I could be doing the same thing right now and get paid to do it! Probably won't though. I'm really worried about Luke.

You couldn't be more correct. What I really meant was, find a pic of him hitting a dummie or a making a flying tackle, or a reliable (I know, fat chance) statement to that effect.

FACT: The coaches have zero say in anyone going into the protocol, or coming out of it.

I get what you’re saying, but you’d be hard pressed to find any player in the NFL making a flying tackle during a Thursday practice.

Okay, point taken. The protocol is really specific in this regard, relatively speaking. Find ANY contact!

    • I’m old enough to remember when I wanted to draft Njoku We brought back Mitchell and officially kept Tremble. Mitchell Evans isn’t going anywhere. Sanders who knows, he was awful last year I fully agree we need a better TE. This room is awful Njoku would be a massive help in the red zone. However it really seems like Dan and the FO prefer to go young on offense
    • You’re underselling Loveland imo. He’s so damn good. You can line him out wide and count on him to win 1 v 1. I don’t see that from Sadiq. Loveland is going to go over 1000 yards next season I’m not overly asking for a WR3. It’s just one of the few directions Morgan could go in round 1.  Let’s say Thieneman, Fano and Cooper are all on the board it’s a tough decision. I just don’t see how this team would take Sadiq over some of those guys given the way they run their offense. Our tight end room is easily bottom of the league so I can definitely see why someone would want a tight end though. At one point during the season I was on the Sadiq train as well. I just don’t think value wise for us specifically it makes sense given our team as a whole As far as tight ends go in this draft I really like Max Klare. Very smooth mover
    • Some of you need some serious help with the way 9 lives rent free in your heads I know for a fact, Dan loves Bryce. Bryce is his guy. This offense is very young and they’re asking Bryce to do a lot. With Idzik taking over playcalling duties it’s a move that is another step in the process of Bryce taking control of the offense. 24 years old. This youth movement on offense and putting more on 9’s shoulders is going to pay off in the long run
