We Lost to a Team Who's QB Only Completed 4 Passes

Garbage ass coach, garbage effort.  We got beat by a team that has our last garbage coach, that literally was the laughing stock of the NFL when they traded up for biscuits.   Sundays might be better without football and fug saying the rest the South sucks. Panthers blow Donkey dick

The teams that give the Panthers (all Panthers teams ever) trouble are teams with a top level d-line. They stuff the run and force Jake/Cam/Peete to throw the ball too many times given their low accuracy. This leads to too many inaccurate throws, and if you have dumb receivers and RBs, then they will compound the problem by flailing and swatting at the inaccurate throws, knocking the ball WAY THE FOCK up into the air. Hence even more INTs. You have to TEACH the dummies to either catch it, or let it go. No one handed swatting and moron flailing.

What do you do to prevent the run from being stuffed? During the fuging DRAFT and off season you acquire road grating, mauling, man beast offensive linemen who can OPEN rushing lanes with power and violence. Think Jeff Otah, if you want a Panthers example. That is top priory. Nothing else matters more. Not twinkle toes CMC, not big lummox WRs, none of it. All that matters is that you have the o-linemen who can allow you to cram RBs into the opposition.

Our o-line has zero road graters. Zero. In fact some of our o-linemen don't belong in the NFL. Nope. Change is coming.

I found this graphic  over on ESPN. Read it in weep

Bears offense on Sunday

                                                        Season Rank

Plays                 37                         Worst

Pass att             7                          Worst

Total Yds.     153                           Worst

First Downs.     5                           Worst

The Bears literally put up the worst offensive performance of the 2017 season and won...by 14 points without the benefit of scoring an offensive touchdown. The Panther defense only gave up 68 yds on the ground on 26 carries (2.6 ypc). Trubinsky passed for 107 yard but once you factor in the 22 yards he lost on 4 sacks his net passing yds for the game was 85 yards. His QBR for the game was 5.6.

How the Panthers lose games like his by double digit point when the defense actually dominates the opposing team is mind boggling .

I agree with the above poster, bears defense clearly outplayed our players, it falls on either the players or position coaches, ultimately Rivera. Main reason this team can't be consistent, because our players aren't held accountable , look and aghlor for the eagles, played like trash last season got benched and he's been pretty good so far this season.

That there would possibly put half the offensive line on the bench till they got it right.

    • Didn't  see this posted (since 2023) but since folks have been posting that you can't judge a draft class for three years (a ridiculous take), I thought I'd post this to see what people thought about the 2023 draft. Unfortunately this may not be the most interesting class to do this with but I do quite like retrospective draft grades. Would appreciate other's takes on this (and other recent) draft classes.   1(1) - Bryce Young QB: I am a bigger Bryce Young apologist than most (maybe all). I like the kid. But there is no way around it: This was a terrible pick. If he had been picked in the 4th or even the 3rd round I would feel pretty good about it. But this was the first overall pick that we gave up two firsts, our best offensive player to get.  GRADE: C -    2(39) - Jonathan Mingo WR: not much to say here here. He was here for two years. His yards per catch are on par with Bryce's yards per pass. Rough stuff. To date he has still never scored a touchdown in the NFL GRADE: F   3(80) - DJ Johnson OLB: a pick I hated as soon as it happened and an example of why the premise of this thread is honestly dumb. This was a bad pick when it happened. Most people knew it.  Then came training camp and he did not look good. Then came the preseason which confirmed what we saw in TC. Then came the season which confirmed what we saw in preseason. To date, he has half a sack in his career. GRADE: F 4 (114) Chandlers Zavala G: Honestly the best pick of this draft which really speaks to how awful this draft is. Other than Bryce, the only pick still on the team. He is mostly average or below average depth which in round 4 is not terrible. But he had a pff score of 43.5 and though I think people have unrealistic expectations for draft picks, I still would want a little more from a fourth round pick GRADE: C+   5 (145) - Jammie Robinson S: I liked the pick when it happened but ended up being a disappointment. He logged 1 tackle with the falcons last year and not enough snaps to get a grade on PFF.  GRADE: F OVERALL DRAFT GRADE: F
    • You gonna make me post Stank before every game?  I kid, I kid.
