Allen Rossum anyone?

Granted, i hardly ever post, but i do read this site religiously everyday, so i'm hoping i don't get flamed horribly, but what about the panthers taking a hard look at Rossum? He just got released today, and with our return woes, it might be worth a shot to grab him. I understand we just signed Dexter to the PS, and the fact that Kenneth Moore had a hell of a return, but i think that talent wise, Rossum is a lot better than either of them.

Thoughts?

Uhm, Mr. Jones is currently employed by the Tennessee Titans. There goes that option.. We did pick him back up this preseason, but he missed the physical...

Yeah...Jones looked like he was running in sand for TN this weekend. Wouldn't want him back regardless. He was OK as filler for last year but that is about it.

He was better then a filler he was the best returner we have had in awhile. But it appears that was due to the wedge.

If you consider top 5 in the league, then yeah, I guess he was just an OK filler.. lmfao

Bring in Rossum, what's the worst that could happen?

agreed sultan, but obviously the FO doesn't think that moore should be doing KR and PR duties, since they brought in dexter jackson to the PS. I personally thought Moore can eventually do pretty well in that role if he can hold on to the ball, what about releasing jackson? personally i think having two ppl brought in just for special teams is a bit ridiculous, and i don't think jackson has shone anyone yet he's capable of doing better than Rossum.

He's an upgrade. Our rotation of young guys who don't specialize in it and could get hurt is a little ridiculous. I'd prefer to have Munnerlyn, Stewart, and Moore focused exclusively on improving at their respective positions.

I don't know who you let go. It would be nice if we didn't have three roster spots for kickers.

    • I used to think Juan was a Zod alt. Agree he's a great poster.
    • Hawks said nah we good and sent him to the shadow realm aka the Wizards. Cold blooded. I mean they're 2-2 in a series with a young up and coming Knicks team largely through 34 year old CJ McCollum. Even if they ultimately lose the series at least they are there and have something to build on. I think Hornets fans are just beaten down and lack the objectivity to assess the situation. They think we are going to get so much worse if and when we finally change gears. Worse how? We've already been a lottery team for years now. We've already been looking to win our first playoff series in about a quarter century. We already can't get past the play in and in failing to do so we have completely embarrassed ourselves twice looking like we don't even belong. Honestly there is absolutely no excuse for a team like the Magic to be more competitive and successful than us in the playoffs. Absolutely disgusting. But that's just me. I was fuging lit when we got the Hornets back in Charlotte but that is old old news. It's time for these boys to get into a playoff series. Enough is enough. If they can't do it for 2026-27 then they need to make wholesale changes regardless.
    • Not one single pick that is asking me why we drafted a guy in the first place. It was a guy we needed and/or a guy that had certain traits making them stand out. Best of all, I feel everyone we drafted are capable of stepping onto the field this year and have a meaningful role (even Kuwatch on special teams). Obviously, nothing is guaranteed but I'm not seeing any huge flags on guys because they're risky projects or massive overreaches.
