I wouldn't say by any means that Jordan has been a "terrible" owner of the Hornets. He bought the Bobcats for pennies and has turned it into a legitimate attraction for the city. The on-court product isn't even bad enough right now to merit you saying that.

The on court product hasn't been great, and that's with a roster five times smaller than an NFL team.

I'll pass.

Your reason for not wanting someone rooted in the community (as in, he just gave $7 million of his own money to Novant to build 2 clinics in low income areas, has saved CMS sports in the middle of the recession, etc.) to buy this team is because the basketball team he owns is a 5-game win streak away from being in the playoff hunt for the 2nd time in 3 years -- all the while their coach is sidelined with medical issues?

I think it's safe to say you don't know enough about what you're trying to use as evidence, to actually use it as evidence.

Moving on...

He's a terrible owner in a sport he knows well.

Don't want him anywhere near the Panthers.

He is actually a pretty good owner but a damn terrible GM.

He knows the NBA and has even come out and said; If you don't have at least one of maybe 7 to 10 elite players in the NBA on your team, you aren't going to win a Championship. Unfortunately, all those players are on 3 or 4 teams. There is absolutely no parity in the NBA right now.

Nothing interesting lol.

He's a terrible developer. Makes big promises but never delivers. He'd be the type of owner that puts winning last on his agenda.

If you're talking about First Ward, dude that is really important land. You can't screw that development up, you have to be careful about what you put there and when you put it there because it is some of the last undeveloped real estate in Center City. I don't blame him for not jumping at the first chance to put ugly South End apartments and a damn brewery down there.

When that gets done, it needs to be a part of what transforms Charlotte's center city to the next level. He's not a "terrible" developer...what is with you guys calling everyone "terrible" this "terrible" that? lol

Levine would be an excellent part of the ownership team -- he loves Charlotte. He doesn't have the cash to buy a team outright.

We're not just talking about this season. The Hornets have been consistently mediocre.

Add in that Jordan has some sexual dalliances in his own history (reported to have paid off a mistress) and is known to be a huge a--hole.

Throw in that the NFL friends on cross-ownership. They made exceptions for the Rams owner, but that was a long drawn out process.

And yes, Jordan is rich, but is he spare a billion dollars rich? Don't know.

I don't see Jordan as a real option. More like a fanboy fantasy.

Pretty sure there will be better, more realistic choices.

I understand, but come on three decades of virtually no movement?

This is all we have gotten :crying:

    • 1. Cowboys-No explanation needed. 2. Rest of NFC South equally. If I had to pick I would say Falcons.    3. Eagles- Both of the games I have attended there the fans were so horrible. The fan base is so ridiculously misbehaved, I’ve never seen such immaturity. 4- Lions- I have cousins in Michigan that grew up Lions fans and they are some of the most obnoxious people I have ever met, as are all of their Lions buddies. The NFL has been lucky that Detroit has been in the cellar for its eternity.    5. Tie between Bears and Vikings. Both act like Steelers, Cowboys, Niners fans do with nostalgia and legendary seasons but neither have ever really had them. They act like they each won 5 super bowls in previous decades but never accomplished poo outside of Chicago in 85.
    • You play the Saints that is great news for your O line.
