If the Panthers lose this week to the Bucs...

Hasn't this thread been started every week since the loss at ATL?

The difference is my glossy articulate insight on the Panthers sets apart the joke threads from the ones that not only offer competent information on the Panthers, but makes you re-evaluate your life as well.

I mean, if you can't beat poo teams...it means you are one. A loss here or next week and they are playing for pride and future jobs from that point on.

reality is the season is already over....

put if we want to be optmistic they need to get to 3-3

What is your definition of season over? My stance is 1-3 teams who struggle to beat 1 of the 5 worst teams in the NFL do not win Superbowl's.

Looks like last year the Steelers struggled to beat the Browns.

I'm not saying that the Panthers are going to win the big one, but it should be known that Superbowl teams don't always have pretty wins against the worst teams in the NFL

The Steelers led the entire game and they did not loose 3 games in a row prior to struggling against the Browns. Nice try though.

the fact that someone posted this question already means it is. if one more loss can cause "fans" to totally shut it down then you may as well pack it in now and leave room for others.

at 0-15 i'll still be excited for next weeks games b/c with a young team you like to monitor how everyone is progressing. it gives you a reason to get excited when the playoffs are already out of the question.

The year we went to the superbowl we lost 3 games in a row at one point in that season. We just lost 3 in a row this season. The difference is we started out 6 and 0 the superbowl year, and our division wasn't that good. This year we started out 0 and 3 and our division is very good.

Now, every year since Fox has been here we have functioned about the same. We could beat any team in the league, but at the same time we could lose to any team in the league. When we went to the superbowl we weren't dominating teams, we were squeaking by and getting the win at the end. Last year when we finished 12 and 4 we didn't dominate but we would end up winning. Now there are some exceptions here and there but thats usually how it would happen.

In my opinion I beleive Jon Fox's best coaching job was the year we started off 1 and 7, then ended up finishing 7 and 9. The second half of that season we were pretty much on fire. It's the best I have ever seen the Panthers play. Steve Smith was on IR, Stephen Davis went down, and so did Foster. But it was Jake's best year by far. Peppers was also making spectacular plays left and right. We ended up losing to Atlanta on that controversial Mike Vick hydroplane into the endzone, and we lost to the Saints the very last game of the year to knock us out of playoff contention.

Now I don't know if we can make a run like that, but I can hope.

I got the feeling with how we came out on Sunday that the team may have packed it in already. Luckily for us the Redskins were terrible and are in the process of packing it in as well.

I heard something on the radio that Week 2 and Week 3 are the most important in the NFL season, in that at the beginning of the year, every team believes they have a chance to be a playoff team, but in Week 2 and Week 3, certain teams that have fallen to 0-3 or 1-2 will realize they're not very good, and most of the players on these teams will start just playing to cash their paychecks, without giving a lot of thought to W's and L's. I fear that we may become one of those teams (won't know until after the next couple of games) -- and I hope that I am completely wrong.

    • I would write “give remmers tight end help” on a yellow sticky note and stuck it in shulas playbook the night before superbowl 50.
    • And don’t worry about Bryce he will be great… Peyton Manning had a horrible rookie year too 😂
    • Nothing wrong with it at all until you start telling others they are bad fans or not fans. But you are the good fan because you never say negative stuff about the team.    I did many years of that type of uninformed fanning because there really was no info and coverage like there is with the internet.    I mean, I used to go to the store and get Street and Smith’s annual football issue. That was about the extent of what you could get if you didn’t live in a big city with sportswriters covering and reporting.  There was no video to look at or replay the games and if you didn’t live in the market you could only rarely see your football team play.    TI have fanned since being a kid in the early 1960s, and as late as 1995 - ‘97 I lived in Atlanta and good luck getting more than 3 or 4 games a year on TV. No radio either. No print coverage outside of an AP recap and box unless they played Atlanta.  People today that have always had the network connection don’t know.    I wasn’t very educated about the Panthers until I finally got internet.
