Our D-line won us this game. Cam had a crucial play, but he wasn't dominant today. The numbers were fairly average... and that's being generous.

Look, Cam was THE reason for our Super Bowl run. But that season is the outlier. He's not an elite QB anymore. This year, he's 18th in yards, 10th in TDs, 6th highest total number of interceptions, 22 in QBR.

Roll in rushing stats please. Judging him as only a passer is BS. almost like only judging CMC via rushing yards, ypc and rushing TDS....

we were farther than 5 yards out when Cam drew them offsides btw. that should have been a 5 yard penalty and 1st down at the 1. you only do half the distance to the goal when the full yards would take you inside the endzone.

I don't think that is the way it works.  The rule is if the penalty moves the ball more than half the distance to goal, then its only half the distance.  If we had been at the nine yard line, the penalty would have moved it 4.5 yards.

Quote

If the enforcement of a distance penalty would move the ball more than half the distance from the spot of enforcement to the offender’s goal line, the penalty shall be half the distance from the spot of enforcement to its goal line. This general rule supersedes any other general or specific enforcement of a distance penalty.
