A lot of Huddlers are still hung up on DGs FUPA claiming that all of the success in the past was due to DG but forget to mention that DG didn’t have to worry about drafting 2 most important position QB & MLB

DG was one of the reason Panthers where successful but not the only reason. He was placed in a perfect situation having 2 Rookie MVPs and top 15 pick in his 1st year along with solid core group.

Lets play a little game which GM do you believe will have more successful draft in 2018 DG or Hurney?

No doubt Gettleman will have a better draft class period.

So does Cleveland & other mediocre teams

its who you pick. Ron Rivera was one of the reason he drafted successfully.

Please do.  Hopefully in a few years you'll finally realize how foolish it was to hire a mediocre sports writer as an NFL GM... much less to rehire him after ten years of mediocrity and failure.

      Could do better could do worse. I've seen some people very indignant over bringing him back and I can absolutely relate to the sentiment. But it's just in a backup role. He's also a good locker room presence and an effort player so for a 1 year rental in a year where we aren't going to do much it's fine. This is a development year. And there will be options if need be at the trade deadline. Besides at the end of the day we all knew a signing like this was around the corner after how drafting Mark Williams ended. He should have been our franchise center for the next several years. I don’t put that failure on the Hornets.

      No one is upset.  And what I referred has been happening.   Patrick Mahomes has an offseason basketball clause in his contract.  A ton of other physical activites like jet skiing, baseball and all sorts of physical activities are written into his contract.  XL likely already has ATVs and stuff written into his contact.  League already has been inserting a lot of that stuff into basic contracts for non-top tier players and we have seen it pan out.
