Christian Kirk Declares for 2018 Draft

Yeh I’m tired of the one receiver theory, draft 2 and bring 2 free agents.

clean house. Byrd and Samuel can stay but if they get hurt again next year it’s curtains.

Draft 2 and FA 2. Bring Sammy Watkins and hell get Flash Gordon,...

Draft Ridley and Kirk

What FA safeties can we bring? That will do it.

oh, and Hire Chud— Andrew Luck followed by every swinging duck they’ve brought in has looked decent,... credit Chud so bring him home.

I swear this team is allegeric to healthy competition, no one on offesne is feeling any pressure to perfom because the guys behind them are scrubs or career jag players, only competition I can imagine is early this season when worely was benched for seymour. If we can snag two proven vets at wr I think that would set us up to truly get some guys in the draft that could finally get this team over the hump, barring it happens this year.

Im ready for us to have an Antonio Brown dammit.

I was screaming when we could have drafted Keenan Allen, especially when he fell.

We have a poor mans Moose in Funchess but we need our compliment.

byrd to me is awesome, I let myself get excited when he came back but he’s glass. Samuel is a poo mans lighter faster version of Anquon Boldin to me, an underneath guy, not take the top off guy—- oh and he might be fragile too.

get Christian Kirk

We could've drafted Allen over KK but that would've been quite silly. If Hurney hadn't traded our 3rd then we could've taken him...

Yeh, our 3rd was Greg Olsen wasn’t it?

the way Marty traded picks for people like Armanti freakin Edwards and others, I don’t think anyone would have cried if we traded up to grab Allen too.

Actually we traded Joe Adams for Keenan Allen,.. forgot all about Joe Bust Adams,..

see, that’s what I’m talking about. It was ok to trade future picks for Everette Brown, Armanti Edwards and Joe Adams, but you let Keenan Allen, the best receiver in that draft, everyone scared of his knee drop,...

Hurney is a loser. His claim is Cam and Luke,.. thank God he didn’t screw those up.

Yup and that's why we keep bringing up Hurneys past failures because it's the gift that keeps on taking.

Some on here don't understand the easy to grasp cascading effect his poo moves caused.

Yeah, that's almost as bad as trading a fourth round pick for an ancient punter that lasted part of a season, and had a big contract.

Good thing Curtis Samuel has been making plays this year. I couldn't imagine this team doing anything in the playoffs without h... oh wait.

If there isn't a blue chip S or edge rusher (no way there will be one there where we pick) I want Chubb in round 1.

I had this thought too but then I looked at the RB list and it's stacked. Unless you're getting Barkley IDT there is any reason to use a round 1 pick on a RB. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if we go OL in round one and take Billy Price. It's not exciting or flashy but it's necessary. If we lose Norwell he could immediately replace him as a starting guard. Then he's in the mix for C when Kalil retires.

Unfortunately I think we are going to stand pat with the secondary. Unless Mike Adams retires I see both of our safeties returning for one more year. As has been stated in the past, Rivera seems to value experience much more than athleticism at the safety position. Zach Sanchez is stashed on the practice squad so I could see him taking Munnerlyn's spot as the situational nickel corner if necessary. I just don't see a high pick being spent in the secondary. I would love to get Rashaad Penny or Chubb though. Both could realistically be there in the second round. I think that Sony Michel goes before Chubb goes. Price in the 1st round and Chubb in the 2nd round would be great.

    • Cooter, Kurb, others have passed on to glory….  Praise be.
    • Oh good for them! Hope this is the start of a long happy time in their lives here.
    • There was no reason to believe in either Cam or Jake as a top tier elite QB before those seasons either. Cam was an "athletic" QB in most people's minds and his passing skills were open for debate. And there was a bit to that as he was still trying to get that massive power in his arm tamed to be able to put some touch on his passes. And then, he did it. Missiles became bombs, the firing lanes became points of finesse. Cam grew up and leveled up, while still retaining the ability and drive to truck people whenever he wanted. And Jake... no one freaking believed in Jake except Jake himself. He got, and let's be honest with this, one chance in a losing game to make something out of his career. And he rose to the occasion like some kind of mythical hero and continued to do so for the season. He became a true leader for the team, and his gunslinger capabilities rehabbed Moose's career and created Smitty as a force in the league. Smitty went from a barker to a biter. But no one believed in Jake going in. And they trashed him on his way out. Now Bryce... who knows? I've seen some improvement. Maybe he finds his footing. His teammates seem to love and respect him and that means a lot. The game should be moving at his speed now. He has weapons available to him and maybe a defense that doesn't just roll over by the third quarter. And his coach seems to be moving this team in the right direction. Could he do it? It's up to him, if he can find the magic like Jake and Cam did. But don't doubt this, magic is really, really hard to find.
