Got PSL's?

A PSL is a license to have a crack at buying season tickets ,  it is not an investment opportunity and would like to see the people in this thread who are talking about rioting show me where it was ever advertised as an investment .  Also  I cant think of any license that doesn't expire at some point and need to be renewed by purchasing a new one.

As a holder and someone who knows original holders I can tell you it was advertised as an appreciating asset that was with you for life

I said what I said because you said something about them leaving charlotte in the OP

I didn't say anything about them leaving. Part of the article I posted referred to a possible move- but it's clearly not the point of the article. Again, as it applies to a new facility whether it's in Charlotte or elsewhere. Read the entire article.

I think  you need to come up with the proof, which I would like to see posted here,  and file a class action law suit if that is the case.  I also wonder how it could be promised as an appreciating asset say for instance if the team turned or turns into the Cleveland Browns.

Why are you equating a new stadium with moving?

Atlanta just got a new stadium. Dallas and NY both screwed their season ticket holders when they opened their new stadiums and jacked prices through the roof, costing them literally thousands of heir, generational season ticket holders. But they don't care because there are plenty of rich folks and corporations who eagerly bought those tickets.

Moving and a new stadium have little to do with each other, unless..... the new owners demand a new stadium and Charlotte/Meck County taxpayers tell 'em to fug off. The we can discuss moving.

The above owners are egomaniacs but to their credit they did the heavy financial lifting, not the public.  They were also playing in relative dumps compared to BOA.

I don’t think we would be able to ever sign any free agent.

There would be guys who’d rather be unemployed than play up there

Anywhere in Canada would make free agency more difficult.

Agreed.

We were original PSL owners for 17 years and I do not recall reading or hearing that a PSL was anything but an investment in being part of the Carolina Panther experience, or words to that effect. Thinking you're going to sell a $10k PSL for $12k a few years from now is kind of dumb, if you think about it. Why would I buy a PSL from you for $12k when I can get one from the team for $10K and still pick my seats?

It would be one thing if there wasn't an inventory of PSLs available, but that's not the case at all. People are forfeiting their PSLs every year based on their own situations. It's a luxury of disposable income, and if you don't have that luxury, you give it up.

Arlington paid over 325m for the Cowboys Stadium with hotel taxes among other things, NFL paid 150m of it, same in Frisco when they paid 300+ million for the training facility.

Both cases Jones was only responsible for overages in cost. Why the city of Arlington owns the stadium and leases it to the Cowboys.

The rioting references are based on the inevitable request for public funds and the weak, scrawny local politicians’ that’ve already hinted at caving.

NO ONE other than Felix wants it or benefits from that use of public funds in Charlotte, North Carolina for at least a decade+.

Has any stadium that has PSLs ever had a new stadium built and PSL owners lose out? I have 4 PSLs, two in upper bowl and two in lower bowl. I understood the risk when I purchased them. However, only greed would make the new owner move since plenty of fan support here and feel the stadium is adequate for many more years.

I feel BofA stadium is good for another 10 years. If the new owners decide to want to move or want a new stadium and screw the PSL owners while BofA Stadium is still in good shape I will not buy another Panther item again. If the owners want a new stadium in 10 years or more I would feel I got enough value out of my PSLs and respect the owners decisions as stadiums have to get replaced someday.

And again, both stadiums being replaced were absolute DUMPS compared to BOA.

Not good enough for major sporting events, college playoff games...ext.ext. Hence either it will be upgraded to include more seats and a retractable roof or a new stadium complex will be built. NFL is in a stadium boom, is expect a bunch of teams with older stadiums to start and get new ones.
