The Saints local newspaper adds insult to injury, per say.

It is funny, but simply not true. Lame troll job. We lead the series 24-23 even after yesterday's loss. But facts are an inconvenience when you are a fan base with an inferiority complex. If you saw their locker room vid, you'd think they won the superbowl. They were highly favored in this game. I am not happy we lost, but was pleasantly surprised how well we played with practice suqad rejects .... oh well. We'll see them next year

Still a better headline than anything the Observer would have been able to come up with.

I agree ... The stick in their collective a$$es does not permit the observer to put up a headline like that lol

They take shots at their own QB [remember that kitty cartoon thing] ... with friends like that you don't need enemies

this is also something of a reflection of the differences between the two markets

is there a question whatsoever what the pro football team in that city is?  do you think there are radio talk shows in new orleans that look on the saints with detached amusement at best or full-on trashing them at worst?  because that definitely happens in print and sports radio in and around charlotte.

yesterday i had to step into a business that shared a wall with a bar next door.  they had the game on like every other establishment with a TV would.  i was streaming the game on my phone through NFL mobile so it was probably a minute and a half or two behind the TV broadcast.  i saw gano miss the chip shot and groaned, and then the people next door freaking erupted seconds later.  i thought something huge must have happened-panthers pick six, scoop and score, something like that.  no, it was a bar full of saints fans reacting to the ginn touchdown.

The fanbase here is still pretty awful. The media here has got to be amongst the worst in all of professional sports. Especially the observer. Barely 2 days before the Saints playoff game that piece of poo Scott Fowler put out an article eviscerating Cam Newton for his playoff performances over the years and then he proceeded to almost upset the Saints himself on the road. I'll be glad when that garbage ass publication finally goes under.

Maybe with new ownership we can get back at it. Lets draft our own Cam Jordans and sign FAs like Burfict. Don't care, just win. I'd be just fine with our version of Burfict hitting up Brees and Meg Ryan. We can do it too now that JR is gone. hit em up
