The recent highlight on his resume is his DC job here.  1 year as Car DC. He had the worst pass D down the stretch in entire NFL.  Teams moved on us at will after a half season was in the books of what he was doing. 

That carries a lot of weight.  I personally don’t like him as DC.  Hope he does get a job but don’t see it

No takebacks Ron. Can't bring Shula back if Norv decided to go elsewhere. I'm not upset, if it's Norv but I'd be fine if he goes elsewhere and it forces Ron to think outside the box. Or at least closer to the edge of the box.

This would make sense, Wilks would be taking Rivera's advice to have a former HC on his staff as a first time HC. 

I was told by someone who would know that the Norv deal is done and the "interview" today is really just a matter of paperwork.

Actually, if you look back at the last games for a lot of OCs and DCs prior to their taking a head coach job, you'll find quite a few finished badly.

Teams being impatient, they'll hire a guy who suffered an embarrassing loss rather than wait on the guy who wins it all.
