Agreed but some just don't pan out.   Probably for everyone you can post I can post a failure at the position.  My point is.  Stewart IMO isn't done and dumping him isn't going to improve us at the RB position.   Draft a rookie and give him time with Stewart.  Kinda like the ole Double Trouble days.

Stewart might need to go not only because of production falling off, but his cap number. Maybe he is cut and brought back like Charles Johnson, because it's well known Stewart wants to stay with the Panthers. I'd still very much like the Panthers to draft a power RB in the first round. Would make a huge difference to have a consistent running game again. Look at the Jaguars and Fournette.

Old man better get young.

Yeah , same for Wade Phillips, that old geezer really laid an egg in Super Bowl 50..............and look what he's done with the Rams O.o

I think people are bringing up the age thing a little too much IMHO.

I'm liking this hire more, but I just hope it's not Foxball 2.0 (that's my big fear).

1 on 1 matches...pushing ahead...beating your man...true to the run game...physicality

sigh. Foxball.

I would rather an offense that will expose a defense. Take advantage of mismatches and dear god fuging adjust as the games go on.

Don't get me wrong game managing and clock control works to a point. Having an elite defense is great. Being able to run the ball is good. But if we are playing this game we are missing so many pieces. And  when that happens we begin to see our team try and overcome shitty play calling because we simply are not good enough.

A power RB n the 1st round?!?! Really ???

ehhhhhhh no thanks, but what Power RB is even worth a 1st this draft? I guess Chubb? I'd think he's more of a 2nd rounder but you never know.

man, I'm really liking Rashaad Penny from SD State, kid is a beast! Looking like a 2-4 rounder

Mostly I'm hoping for Guice from LSU. Doubt he makes it past the Seahawks at 18 though, they are desperate for RB help.

There's a lot of good looking RBs that might go in the first two rounds, aside from Saquon Barkley who will likely go in the top 5...

Josh Adams from Notre Dame is a nice looking prospect. Needs work but he would be a great tandem player with McCaffrey.

Kamryn Pettway from Auburn might be worth the roll of the dice. He has talent but got injured this year.

Chubb could be a good pick if he drops into the 2nd.

There's a lot of good RB prospects this year. Stewart might not be on the roster if the Panthers grab one early in the draft. Time will tell. We know Hurney won't shy away from picking a RB in the first round, that's for sure.

Theres going to be alot of good RB talent in the 2nd-3rd rounds. Barkley is the only one right now that's universally being projected to go in the 1st.

Getting Josh Adams or Rashad Penny with one of our 3rd rounders would end up being perfect value and would follow the trend of last year's 3rd round RBs if they end up panning out well (K. Hunt, Alvin Kamara , Donta Formeman  ,  and Dalvin Cook , Joe Mixon in Round 2)

Its totally unnessary to get a RB in round 1. Barkley or Guice would be the only ones worth a 1st and us getting CMC last year sort of fugs that up too.

1st round we're probably either getting WR, S , or DE based on the current projections. Its possibly that Ridley is the only WR off the board by the time we pick, somewhat of a weak draft for WRs but very strong for RBs and S/CB.
