Richardson didn't "have" the statue of himself made. It was a gift from the minority partners. No different than the stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. I think people continually bash Richardson and other successful individuals like him because they are envious. Its amazing all the business acumen, wisdom, and insight that members of the Huddle have. Its just unfair that we aren't all billionaires. There must be some "ism" against us.

Lol. You are making the precise point of why it matters. No reason we should be grouped or compared with UNCA, UNCW, or UNCG. We have FBS football and a much better basketball history than any of those schools. #DropTheUNC

Considering how many players on the team were on board with the Thank you Mr. Richardson view, I wouldn't remove the statue. Many of them have a great deal of respect for him and to remove/destroy his statue might not sit too well with them. Last thing we need are a bunch of guys pissed off at the new ownership.

I seriously doubt the players give a crap about any statue of JR, especially enough to be "pissed off".   Of course they will be thankful to the man for giving them millions to play for him but I doubt many care what happens to him or his statue.  They will move on just like the fans.

Leave it up, he brought the team to Charlotte and what it’s done for the city and the region far outweighs some spankings.

Some of the guys you have a point about however I really do think we have players that respect him enough that they would be bothered a great deal and view it as "Disrespectful" of them to remove the statue. I personally don't care what they do with the statue since I don't have to have a statue of him to honor the good things, however I do want to keep the two panthers in the very least. I have a Texan fan as a friend and he thought those panther statues were simply amazing.
