Guice and Penny are two guys that I think could be just as good. I’m hoping we grab one of those two backs. Ideal for me is to trade back to the top of the second and pick one of those two running backs.

I think that they can be good at the pro level,  though I'm not so sure about Guice.  Barkley's combination of size, speed and just sheer power looks mighty impressive though. You could be right,  but you just never know.

I like Penny,  but I'm not so sure that he is as good as Sony Michel whom I believe displays a little more power and definitely ran against tougher competition.

This is how you set you franchise back 5+ years.

Then again, if you consider the fact that Hurney will likely be running this draft then look at his last three draft, maybe it's not the worst idea ever to trade the whole damn thing for Barkley. LOL!

That may be the worst three year draft run in the history of drafting.

I dont see any reason to believe that...if the naysayers are correct about Hurney he is in survival mode and will do well out of life or death...I say he defers to RR who will focus on supplying Norv with what he needs...

The Hurney "naysayers" are just being realistic. Anyone who actually wants Hurney back as our GM has either completely lost their mind or simply abandoned all hope. Just look at those last three drafts...

It's like he just threw darts at a board, hit with Kuechly, Cam, Norman and Hardy. Missed on just about every other pick, and not just "oh, he's below average depth", these guys were gone in two years.

I dont mean the regular posters with realistic concerns... but to your point it is a whole new day...like I said RR and Norv to temper Hurney in draft...

4 looks like his floor. And many believe he is that once in a generational talent. And I know the chances of us making a move this drastic are out of this world but, humor me.. given the state of the team, and what it would take to move up to say 4. Would you be willing to pull a mike ditka sans Ricky Williams for Barkley? (It’s the off-season and we have no owner or gm...sorry)

no.  100% no.  Stocking piling RBs is not what we need.

We need to threaten teams vertically.  We need better run blocking.
