The comparison here I guess would be Kaelin Clay. Do you take him over Clay?

Keep in mind that while he may not be terribly expensive, he will be more expensive than Clay.

He’s significantly better than Clay on offense. Not sure about in the return game though. Either way we have Byrd/McC for that so it shouldn’t be a deciding factor if we were picking between Clay and Austin. I don’t see this happening though.

Last season he was targeted 22 times on a loaded offense.  They just didn't use him.  Also, he is 26 so not an old guy here.

A former top ten pick only got 22 targets I thinks that says a lot

Basically another Samuel.

but if he is always healthy maybe better than Samuel?

Samuel and Byrd both have to prove they can play healthy.

my feeling is they can’t and I would part ways with all of them except Funchess and Samuel and sign an army of others. Samuel I would keep for now.

Who said he did??? but YOU said Austin did

Who? The OP I originally quoted. The one who compared the two. Regardless how he's gotten the yards/experience. He has that over CS. Can CS do those. Maybe. But that's yet to be proven...

Except several more years experience. And actually having a 1k yard season and double digit TDs. But other than that....

Again  no one claimed Samuel has ever put up " blank" amount of stats
