All I can say is, just look at the crazy contracts the WRs are getting in FA. Demand way over exceeds supply for even halfway decent WRs. 

So it wasnt the case that Torrey Smith is A+ HoF WR , its the simple fact that if we had let him hit market he could have gotten much more from some team desperate for a WR that had 4x more cap space than we did.
