Let’s see

stats

Pro- Bowl vote

team wins

defense ranking

combo of all of the above

What if neither makes the Pro Bowl?

Team wins? Lol.

Team defensive rankings? Lol.

How about this. PFF grade, or if I can get my hands on them, coverage stats. Not tackles and INTs. Completion percentage, QB rating. TD:INT ratio. PFF grades could work, and if they're within 5 point of eachother, we'll call it a tie (Lattimore was nearly 50 points better last year).

You’ve got to stop with the dumb homer threads making our fan base look ignorant and dumb as hell. Please. It’s embarrassing.

I will take the dumb homer threads over the why does everyone we draft suck/ever team is better than us group.

The Saints have been successful one season out of eight and now somehow they have become better than us in every way to some of you idiots.

PFF grades are 75% opinions,

Lets see how about Stats & huddle poll vote to determine the eye test.

Whoever has the higher Pro Bowl ranking is the tie breaker. I know my guy is gonna make it matter of fact I'll put extra $50 that Bradberry will be a pro-bowler.

The only person that is ignorant is you, try to use some football knowledge and defend your stance instead of the #Dotard line.

This thread is going to put ultimately lead to a lot of poo on JB, but if you watch the tape, we really put Bradberry is a tough spot last year.  Im not saying he performed well, but James was always on an island, and teams would pick apart our Tampa cover 2 with short routes. Which is the best strategy.

you can’t ask a corner to not give up anything underneath, and not give him support over the top, and expect greatness. The goal for our defense last year was to get to the qb before they finish their drop, but everyone knows if you aren’t there when the qb is set, it’s on the coverage at that point.

I expect a better year from James, and I hope it’s true. The new archetype of our defense is interesting, because we are not focusing on big body corners like we did with gettleman. However, JB will play a special coverage role this year due to his size. Much like Sherman did. I’m intrigued.

#Dotard Huddlers don't understand 1/3 of the Saints defense success was due to Drew Brees and that offense being elite.

Dallas also learned it the hard way last year without Zeke.

You never know what kind of DB or receiver you have until the third year. The first season can be a wash because of nerves and concepts, or it can be a blast because there's no tape on the kid and the kid just pops. The second year, there's tape and the game starts to slow down. The star ones start to dim a bit and the slow ones start to catch up. The third season tells the tale and you can generally judge how the rest of their career will ride out.

What OL/WR debate?

The next debate you "win" will be the first.

You constantly make definitive statements that ate almost always wrong. Star and Norwell will both get re-signed, right?

I believe you where a huge Shepard & Remmers fan, I was among the few hurdlers who believed Byrd was the better Receiver for the Panthers.

So what you are saying is PFF gives percentages (scores/ratings) to validate opinions, not facts?  Is this percentage (75%) your opinion or can you verify?

I like you Ace, but I’ll let you take Bradberry while I’m taking Lattimore. Lattimore is the truth. I might even take the other Saint CB over Bradberry, and I’m definitely taking Trufant over him as well.

Yep I would trade the saints Bradberry and my 2nd rd pick next year for lattimore without thinking twice

Me too.  They would never do it.

If you look beyond the immediate needs and season, considering expiring contracts and salary cap space, this team is in good shape.  Next year, I expect (assuming all things remain the same) the additions of a S and CB again.

Our priority will be LT, and I think Rivera wants Moton there--or he sucks, not sure.

I think we will add a LB and a DE.
