Panthers Sale to Tepper is Final

What I like about Tepper's comment today, " look forward to being part of the Panthers’ family and to supporting this flourishing region"...

He didn't say that it was HIS family. He said he wanted to be a part of the existing family.  I kinda liked that phrasing.

First orders of business: Charlotte press conference and removing the Jerry Richardson statue. If both of those things don't happen by the time training camp starts, Tepper will be off on the wrong foot.

Then fix the logo on the 50. This is the Panthers fan's team, not the NFL.

Voth still needs to get a feel for Tepper before he says too much.

They may end up having full freedom to say whatever they want about Richardson, but until that's assured I'd probably remain generic.

I actually believe Voth really means what he's saying. He can leave for something better, if he wants. Richardson seemed like a douche behind the scenes, and also, cared wayyyyyyyyyyy too much about the players over winning. I liked Richardson for a while, but now, na good riddance.

I hate media types.  Spewing their dumbass opinions.....,how about shut up with that and report that the sale is final.  Leave the damn statue alone and move on.....without JR there would be no Carolina Panthers.  Is everyone a butthurt baby these days?

In the building, and dressed for the occasion...

Kind of amused at the message that flashed behind them as they entered :)

First Things First:

Hello Mr. Tepper!  Welcome to BoA Stadium.  You don't know me, but my name is Jeremy Igo and I'd like to share the good news about the benefits of a vegetarian diet!

Tepper:  Who let this nut in here?  Escort him off the premises and somebody get me some prime rib, stat!

It could happen.

Someone needs to tell this guy that he needs to change the logo at mid-field... like today.

This to me should be done on day 1.  Remind everyone that BOA Stadium is Panther Territory NOT the home of the NFL.

Wouldn't mind leaving the smaller Panthers there as well.   I guess you gotta put the NFL logo somewhere.

I'm not understanding all of the JR hate here. Everyone here knows damn well they have made comments that today might be considered sexual harassment, racist...etc at some point in their past. WE get away with it because we are not billionaires under a constant microscope.

But wanna treat this man like he is the plague for saying something i would bet in Vegas 99% of this board have said or done in their private moments, with their circle of friends, said to a woman at a bar if you are 100% honest with yourselves.

Maybe move the statue to another place. Maybe Wofford College. But erase this man from the history because he got caught doing something everyone has done at some point? too much.

    • Adding on to that - I know I read from some reporter that Dak Prescott's mentality is extremely fragile. Get in his head, and he loses focus and confidence. Per that reporter,  anytime a big game comes up, he starts to have the jitters and hasn't seem to overcome that slump. Dak would be an upgrade over Bryce as things currently stand. But Dak has not proven he can play in games that matters without choking. Bryce hasn't had the chance to show anything in the NFL, so nothing much to say there. But based on his history, he's done well in college in the national championship. Theoretically he should be more confident in big games if he gets to that point. For that alone, I'd rather keep rolling the dice on Bryce or set our sights higher. I wouldn't touch Dak with a 10 ft pole given his choking habits.
    • Same here brother, love Xavier I think he’s gonna become a quick fan favorite of the team. He already has gone viral for his country accent, we have no face of the franchise currently outside of maybe Derrick Brown in terms of media attention. I would not be surprised if in the next 4 years Xavier becomes that media darling we used to have in the 2010s with Luke, Cam, Josh Norman, CMC, etc.
    • I haven't been high on any of the WRs we drafted in the past.   This kid though is someone I actually wanted. I have a feeling we finally hit big with this kid. I'm expecting him to be a DJ Moore caliber WR.
