I’m not sure the blame falls on Hurney either, but he enforced it. Seems like he assessed Ryan and said your not fit to even talk to Richardson. Richardson didn’t say this about Ryan but if reports are true Hurney did. Do I want that mentality still lingering around?

Me personally I think this organization needs a fresh start and a new set of eyes to wash away the tarnished old guard.

You don't think richardson specifically said it? If your boss,  who didn't even bother for a contract with you asked/ told you to do something and you are making millions you don't think you'd "enforce it"?

Maybe hurney won't be so bad when he's not forced to be a yes man.

If you were a yes man and you get a new boss,do you stop being a yes man? Not likely.

Do I think different types of people treat you differently?  100% yes. How do you know how many times hurney had a good idea and was shot down? Maybe if an owner actually allows him to do the job he won't be half bad.

The scouts who had to talk him out of trading a future first for Jimmy Clausen and/or thinking that Brad Kaaya was the backup QB of the future might feel differently.

Jerry Richardson had no involvement in those events.

In fairness, kaaya is better than any back up we have now.

Neither are our current back ups,  what's your point?

That Marty hasn't proven anything yet.

He signed some guys and made some moves that fans like. Cool. That same thing happened before every losing season he presided over in his first tenure.

I'm gonna need something more than that before I'll anoint him as being a new man.

hmm cuz his defense in New Orleans sucked! And we were greatful!! I thought the rustic trailer park look was great for the NFL.. but his defense truly sucked!

Well, for the last two years he was here you're absolutely right. But in 2013 we were 4th in yards and points and actually won a playoff game (on the road) instead of going 1-and-done at home despite having the #2 seed, a bye, and the #2 ranked defense in yards and points. Wonder who that was...
