I'm waiting to hear who the team president is.

I think a lot of us are, but there haven't even been any reports of interviews yet.

hi there nothing's happened yet or they're just doing a really good job of keeping it quiet.

If they win the SB I will credit the players and coaches and not give a poo about how to divy up credit to ownership.

We're all very impressed at the four posts you've made regarding a topic about which you don't care.

No, he doesn't get a ring, though I'm sure  if that happens some folks on here will suggest he should (and I probably know who).

Again though, there's no magic switch flipped. The players, coaches and football people still are who they are. Will it be different working for Tepper? Sure, but I still don't see that being enough of a factor to say it'll make a difference in this season's outcome.

I'd add that the problem with the notion that the office culture permeates all the way down to the football product is that the football people have universally said they had absolutely no idea that any of that stuff was even going on.

Are they lying?

In a situation like that, you'll never be able to tell.

One person I trust with info like that says they probably didn't.

The football operations are on the opposite side of the stadium from the business side where Richardson's offices are located.  From what he told me, outside of (possibly) the GM, football people generally wouldn't have been in a position to have any clue what was going on.  That's why he believes players and coaches who say they didn't know.

I'd add that although it was a dumb, tone deaf thing to do when Rivera gave his end of season salute to "Mr Richardson", I still have a hard time believing Ron Rivera is the kind of guy that would have just left something like that alone if he knew about it.  I'd be pretty disappointed to find out otherwise.

That culture permeates to the players too. It's obvious how much more outgoing Cam has been on social media this offseason, way more than years past. And 2015 was long before the creepiness of Richardson had been outed as well, but who knows who knew how much and when. I just think it's ridiculous to say this is still the Richardson era even though he's not the owner anymore. He's gone. If the team wins a Superbowl, he doesn't get a ring.

Unless he is contractually obligated to get a ring lol.

As soon as Hurney is gone, it’s Teppers team. As long as an owner stays out of the way with on-Field decisions, I don’t pass judgment one way or another.

We’ve seen Richardson blamed for every bad move Hurney or Gettleman made. And since no one knows for sure, the blame for me stops at GM until proven otherwise.

And since our current GM is JRs #1 yes man, and has a resume that is below par, it is still JRs stench we are stuck with.

If someone put together an organization with zero input from you and you just purchased it, would you deserve credit for any success they had?

I firmly believe that Tepper will put his stamp on the organization, but I question whether that's going to be this year.

Whether or not I'd deserve credit is another discussion imo.  Just simply saying that for me it's now the Tepper era b/c he's now officially the owner.
