Matt Moore starting is highly unlikely....

Mr. Scot

...for the same reasons why so many of the trade scenarios mentioned here aren't going to happen.

Agree or not, all indications are that John Fox still believes Jake Delhomme gives the team their best chance to win. And again, because Fox's biggest concern is winning now (not preparing for the future) he's likely to stick with Delhomme until the bitter end.

Argue all you want about whether you think Moore (or even Feeley) gives us a better chance to win. It doesn't matter what you think. It only matters what Fox thinks.

Keep in mind, I'm a supporter of starting Moore.

I'm also a realist, and because of that I don't see it happening :nonod:

Moore hasn't shown anything. At all. Other than regressing through every preseason game I've seen him in. And not being able to unseat the mighty McCown for #2.

Feeley would get the nod first anyways.

We have got a laughable stable of QBs.

The Jake Delhomme era is over if you ask me. Still we will not see Moore till next year cause what has been said above. Its win as many at all cost this season with the hope of a Playoff berth. Not gonna happen if you ask me but thats the idea.

Thanks for this earth-shattering revelation Mr Scot.

Look, they (Hurney, Fox) gave a guy with one of the worst quarterback performances in playoff history a long-term extension with $20MM guaranteed.

Marty and Johnny have this year for the team to perform. If they fail, they're gone, and they know it. They made a big bet on Jake, given that, there are two possibilities:

1. Jake starts 16 games, the team recovers and goes to the playoffs, and they keep their jobs, or:

2. Jake starts 16 games, the team fails miserably at 5-11 or 6-10. Marty and John pack their bags.

It's about self-interest. It's business. They are the only two possibilities. It's not about right and wrong.

    • I don't think it's a homer though when I really feel this team can beat anyone.  The points that can be scored in bunches when the big three are on has high potential.  Moose has effort for days and IMO is the heart of the team.  And didn't see Miles becoming the team "vet" in the starting lineup just roleplaying lol.   We have to limit the turnovers though (Brandon Miller I'm looking at you bud, you are a bad ball handler) and some little things.   Colby off the bench is a cheat code and him and Kaulk have a nice little game going with the picks.    Sion playing every game and just getting better each game.  He has grit.  Grant and Green also grit.  We need replace Tillman with PJ Hall though.  Tillman looks like someone that shouldn't be on an NBA court, or at least with this team, he's just too slow for this tempo.   Even McNeely looked decent tonight and can drive.   If Kaulk and Moose could even be like 30% 3pt shooters man....
    • 1.) LaMelo 2.) Kon 3.} Miller 4.. Giannis 5.) Moose   1.) Coby 2.) ? 3.) Sion 4.) Miles Bridges 5.) Kalk That squad would win multiple chips.
