Now I wonder if he really got traded because he was acting like this behind closed doors and not simply to “speed up the offense” or whatever BS Hurney said.

i still have a hard time believing Hurney would just trade KB for a nothing draft pick  .

Now I think Kelvin was bitching and whining all over the place and said he wanted to go, or something to the effect— so Marty cut out a locker room cancer.

Who knows what all went down behind the scenes? Not us. My take is that the Buffalo Panthers wanted KB, while the Carolina Panthers obviously decided that they didn't need two tall WRs, but did need more speed at the position. If we'd been in love with KB I think he'd still be here. I believe they looked at both guys and decided that, for multiple reasons, Funchess was the keeper. KB is still butt hurt, and apparently it's festering. For such a big guy he's pretty small inside. Maybe he'll eventually grow up. Meanwhile I think Hurney was smart to trade KB and now WR is a pretty damn strong position for us, finally.

Its sad. I didn't want the panthers to draft KB,  but I grew to accept it. When he was traded I understood it bc we did need speed. I thought the timing was awkward tho. Ad a player I liked KB, but he made some poor plays, bad drops but in all I still cheered for him. Now I dont think I can cheer for him at all. Just throw your friend/ Qb  under the bus. Just a fake buster brown!

    • Number 9  Carolina Panthers  Bryce Young, the first overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, produced career highs in completion percentage (63.6%), passing yards per game (188.2) and passing touchdowns (23) in 2025. However, those numbers aren't exactly stellar by NFL quarterbacking standards. Even though the Panthers backdoored their way into the postseason in 2025 as NFC South champions with an 8-9 record, Young's performance was up-and-down. He threw for the third-fewest passing yards by a quarterback to make the playoffs in the last 20 seasons, per CBS Sports Research.  FEWEST PASSING YARDS BY QB TO REACH PLAYOFFS, LAST 20 SEASONS (MIN. 16 STARTS) PASSING YARDS PLAYOFF WINS 2012 Christian Ponder (MIN) 2,935 0 2008 Joe Flacco (BAL) 2,971 2 2025 Bryce Young (CAR) 3,011 0 2006 Steve McNair (BAL) 3,050 0 2019 Josh Allen (BUF) 3,089 0 Young did deliver some high highs, like when he threw for a franchise-record 448 yards passing in a Week 11 overtime win at the Atlanta Falcons and when he went toe-to-toe with Stafford in the playoffs in a 34-31 defeat.  Kenny Pickett couldn't win the Cleveland Browns' quarterback competition a year ago, and Will Grier is a career backup.
