That should do it for Taylor Heinicke, making his bid to be Cam Newton's backup. After a 1-for-5 start passing he completed 6 of his next 7 attempts, including a nice back shoulder touchdown pass to Mose Frazier. Heinicke also rushed twice for eight yards. Having experience in Norv Turner's offense at Minnesota and the ability to run has elevated him above Garrett Gilbert.
