Preseason Game 4 - Who made the team?

Hood didn’t play so I think he made it... so CAP or Barner if we keep 4?

Barner returned better than Byrd so I would say Barner stays over Byrd if we have to choose between a 4th running back or 6th receiver,..

Kyle Allen made a case for number 2, he looked poised and on point for the last half of the game... the other two SUCK,..they suck....

not sure about the rest.

Also didn't play against Pats. I don't see how he can make the team. If Rivera keeps him as one of "his guys", it's a slap in the face to everyone else that has fought tooth and nail to try to make the team.

Believe Rivera made a statement this week that insinuated he was safe in terms of making the team... not something to get excited about, but he probably is still one of the best CB's on the team unfortunately.

The DB group reminds me of the WR group in 2014.  A solid rookie with a lot of potential in Jackson, and a collection of other guys.  Except maybe Bradberry, who I think can bounce back.

Certainly not a group that inspires a lot of confidence.  Hopefully our Front 7 can mitigate some of their deficiencies.

Doss has looked like one of the better CBs this whole preseason and should make it over Seymour.

on 53

- Damiere Byrd

- Andre Smith

- Bryan Cox jr

CUT

- Blaine Clausell

- Daeshon Hall

- Chris Manhertz to IR  - we go with 2 TE's

I'm excited about the potential of Smith and Cox, and Byrd has proven his worth as a returner and as a WR

Clausell is garbage, although I think he has a shot to make the initial 53 and maybe even last a few weeks b/c of depth and injuries.

Hall has been a disappointment, although I hope we could stash him on PS and develop him.

I can see no reason to keep Manhertz when Armah is a superior blocking and Thomas has infinite more potential

Doss got caught up in a numbers crunch on a loaded Denver secondary and then cut to make a point, but yeah I think he has more potential than Seymour.  Seymour has seemed to regress most of time here

This final game has shown me we should only carry 5 CBs in Bradberry, Jackson, Captain, Elder and Doss so that we can carry an 11th lineman. It'll actually be 10, but Williams will count for 24 hours until we are allowed to put him on IR if we plan on bringing him back this season.

LT: Matt Kalil - Blaine Clausell
LG: Greg Van Roten - (Brendan Mahon)
C: Ryan Kalil - Tyler Larsen
RG: Trai Turner - #Jeremiah Sirles#
RT: Taylor Moton - #Adam Bisnowaty# - +Darryl Williams+

* = Draft Pick
# = Free Agent
() = Undrafted Free Agent
+ = IR Designated to Return

    • With the contract money an OT first rounder makes you can ALWAYS get a new girlfriend.  And probably an upgrade at that.  You only got 2 parents.
    • Brother. You are wholly confusing comparing situations and applying actual standards like most other franchises do like simply getting into a playoff series and winning at least 1 or 2 series games with praising. Nobody is praising the Hawks. Nobody is praising the Magic. Nobody here likes those teams. But reality is reality. The Hawks like other franchises have traded players fired coaches etc but they can still win a couple playoff games. How is that not the bare floor for you or anyone else? What are we doing here if it isn't? We've seen eye to eye on many things over the years. But you are in the camp on the Hornets where you are emotionally attached to LaMelo where you feel the need to carry his water like he's got that juice. That's cool that you feel that way. It's your prerogative. But I differ from that viewpoint entirely. If he had that juice we would not have gotten wiped off the court in 2 play in games with 2 different coaching staffs and rosters. if people don't like hearing that well I'm sorry but how the hell is this team ever going to get better and ultimately go anywhere in the postseason if we just blindly pat them on the back for getting their asses whooped before they actually even get into the real playoffs? There seem to be some Bryce Young level standards being applied here. That's wild to me. But to each his own.
    • Proctor/Freeling were always the belles of the ball where we were picking. What those two *could* become at OT was far greater than what others could be at their respective positions and I’m glad our FO could see that.
