Official Panthers at Falcons Gameday Thread!

If you didn't think suspending a player for a few games makes a difference, today was a prime example. Our defense played soft and let backup RBs and Matt frikkin' Ryan run all over us.

Had TD not failed that PED test, we'd have had this one. There's a huge difference between Shaq-Luke-TD and Mayo-Luke-Shaq. Leaps and bounds difference. Luke might be the General of the defense, but he needs TD as his Sergeant Major out there.

I've just lost all confidence in Rivera and his defense to beat the Falcons and Saints. They own us right now and it's because they're easily carving up his vaunted defense.

Love ya, dude, but now? Finally?

What is Rivera doing different now to finally change your mind that he hasn’t ALWAYS been doing?

To follow up on the Darin Gantt tweet:

Since 2013, Ron is 26-13-1 in games decided by 7 points or less.

Also, there are a handful of games Ron has won by 8 points (one possession) that aren’t  accounted for here.

2011-2012 were rough times for games decided by such a margin (1-12). And those games do count, for sure.

But I think most observers agree that RR and his staff turned a bit of a corner in October 2013. It could have gone south, fast, and they turned that trend around to become a very formidable team in close games.

Not disputing Gantt’s stat. Just adding a little depth to it.
