Passed up 9 times as a head coach. Not surprising other teams saw through him and JR didnt. He preached the same exact poo John Fox did. Thats why he got the job.

Want Hue Jackson ?

Mike McCarthy ?

Marvin Lewis?

That wasn't his only play. Trow and that he had a shot at that final pass but didn't haul it in.

Mind you, his time is going to come. But if I'm picking somebody based on what I see right now, it's the guy who's been more consistent.

You don't make decisions based on one highlight. If that were the case, you could argue that Torrey Smith shouldn't be benched because he caught a touchdown.

Catching a 5 yard pass in the endzone<> breaking a tackle for a 51 yard pass.

Unlike Smith, Moore actually had more yards receiving than in penalties.

But he didn't have more catches, or more yards, than Wright, who netted 5 for 62 on 7 targets.

Consistent contribution trumps one big flash and little else outside of it

The entire identity of this team is based around a stout defense.

You don't let Matt Ryan rush for touchdowns and call yourself an NFL defense.

It's time to warm some seats.

Not only that, he BULLDOZED through 3 of our defenders on his 2nd one. I've never seen a "elite" defense have that happen to them. Ron and the defense should be flat out embarrassed. If any QB has the confidence to not slide against you, it means your defense is soft.

Naah, he just surprised them, then two of them took each other out of the play.

    • I do think 8 wins is the top limit for this group. Honestly them not winning a game has similar odds.   So 0-8 is the range. Add in the owner, last six years, No real first pick while nfc south had theirs among other low picks aka they got better, lost Burns, luvu, djak and others solid vets(boz, bell, etc). Last second FG wins, never lead in the 4th, didn't score a single point the final 2 games. Im going with 2 dubs and I hope a surprise 8 wins claims the NFC south as they label the Panthers as the worst playoff team in NFL history!!
    • Well we are in agreement overall on that decision just looking at the fallout differently.  I am not a personal fan of Williams from a few quotes I’ve run across but we weren’t taking him so I ignored him as a prospect. I never look at QBs unless we are looking.    But if things align a certain way this turns historically bad. The kind of thing children will read about when they grow up.
    • DL doesn't look bad compared to other groups- Turtle, Dbrown, Clowney, Robinson, and wonnum. That's 5 guys that are or have been solid or above average for most of their careers. In fact Id say its the strength of the panthers. No ones too old or coming off a bad injury.  Depth-wise it is down right bad, just need to avoid injuries much like LB. I agree with you about finding just win, I got them match last seasons 2 wins.  *I still feel NFC south is wild enough that if the planets align, panthers *could cash in their lotto ticket winner and shock the world. Cousins setback and penix sucks. LOL @ carr and HC Dennis Allen. TB used their luck and bakers play comes back to earth. Young shows he deserves that #1 pick and evero calls a masterful year.......... .0000000001567399% chance. Thats the best I can hope for, tons of miracles.....
