Very glad Amini isn't starting but why in the actual fug would we move Moton from LT??? We need to keep him at LT for the rest of his damn career.

He will be back at LT when/if Williams is healthy.  However Clark is new to this offense, so it is far easier for him to slide into a position with a week of prep that he is familiar with (LT) than it would be to try and force him to learn RT.  Moton is already familiar with RT, so may as well move him there and put Clark at LT.

Basically it is them doing whatever they can to keep Amini off the field.

Are you really saying that we are jeopardizing our franchise QB and the season to keep amini off the field?  A guy who should be on his couch or a buffet?

if this is true the HC should be fired tomorrow

What are you talking about?

What would you suggest we do?  Put Clark, who likely isn't familiar with playing RT and in a new system, at RT?  Keeping Amini off the field is literally the best way to protect Cam.  If Moton stayed at LT, it would probably take Clark a couple of weeks before he was ready to play on the right side.  It's a big difference for lineman if they aren't comfortable, even Joe Thomas has alluded to the fact IIRC.

I suggest we keep that left side stabilized   Put. Clark one the right and give a FB and or a TE to help

this new LT is not that great. Moton did his job last week

That, is what I’m talking about. Newton’s blind side

So you would rather have Clark playing on the right side against the best pass rusher on the Falcons (Beasley) than Moton?   You think having Clark vs Beasley gives Cam better protection than Moton vs Beasley?

If so, fair enough.

Clark has played both

Smart moves and practically the only moves. Instead of Clark trying to relearn the RT position (technique) and he's left handed, go with what he's better at. Moton secures the RT position and with Larsen could make it very doable.

I don't think they (ATL) can be blitz happy because losing 2 All Pros on the back 7 will keep them a little honest.

I feel that if Newton can see it, he can get away from it

and do you believe Beasley isn’t going to be moved around. He isn’t a tree. He can be moved around

    • What I love and hate about this team is it’s more filled with potential breakout players than ever before. JT, XL, Coker, Smith-Wade, Ikem, Trevin… and even Bryce are all guys I could legitimately see taking the next step. But the problem with having so many of those guys is that team success somewhat relies on them taking that step, and some are bound not to. That being said, I’m cautiously optimistic given our softer schedule, the way the offense clicked late last year, and the direction we finally have at GM, coach, and QB. Could see us as a sneaky playoff team.
    • Me, signing up for FanDuel Network, and then canceling FanDuel Network:
    • Smith-Wade for me. He has the path to some decent hefty snaps in Evero’s scheme. He held his own last year and improved as he continued to get snaps— If he makes some strides, could be a very capable nickel.  I agree with Sanders. Bryce had some trust in him that final Falcons game post crazy head-stand.  Bryce looked for him a lot that final game and made some critical catches to get us the W. Seems he’s put in major work so I’m hopeful about him.  Wallace will have an offseason under his belt. I like him a lot, was higher graded than most remember in his draft (I.e Brugler had him LB3/70 overall) but he isn’t as cerebral of an LB as we’re used to. I think he could thrive if we get D captain/film-junky type next to him— because right now that’s Jewell.  Still a bit cautious but love the talent. Rozeboom may snag some playing time from him if he’s still working out the kinks.
