Cam’s late “personal foul” for taunting

There is no disputing that it was a mistake. He learned his lesson, the team moves on.

The fact that this is a trending thread, and there are not more threads discussing how well Cam Newton has been playing is indicative of the trash still stinking up our fanbase.

Its crazy dude. It really is. God forbid the man be human. We need to drag out any and all negatives. I assume this will turn into another bitchfest. Seems to be a weekly thing.

I'm as big of a Cam fan as their is, but that's a flag just about every time for taunting. I was watching the Jets and Browns game and after an crucial incompletion a Jets player handed the ball to Jarvis Landry and drew a flag and kept their drive going.

I understand it's an emotional game but usually the teams who are best at keeping their cool have the best success.

He clearly was trying to throw it to the ref twice.

I actually think he's cool with Dunlap, so I think it was a little gamesmanship between the two.  IIRC, they've liked each other's posts on IG in the past and Dunlap actually posted on Cam's post before the game yesterday with "Good morning, Cam" lol.  Just seemed like a big deal about nothing.

CMC is being talked up amongst the best RB's in the league in one of the most popular threads of the day.

Meanwhile the most popular thread about Cam is little more than a bunch of Tennessee Mom lectures.

I am honestly shocked they didn’t talk about it on NFLN this morning. I haven’t heard a word from them. Maybe ppl are starting to lay off of him?

And how many threads have you created discussing how well Cam has been playing? Were your thread-making privileges revoked? Or are you scared that if you were to make a positive thread about him, you might actually find out that the overwhelming majority of this fanbase  loves and adores him? Seriously...go to a Panthers game and listen to how loudly the fans cheer for him when he comes out of the tunnel...it’s deafening. He gets the best reception of any of our players: even TD and Luke.

If you spent even 1/10 of your energy and time on simply praising Cam in a positive manner instead of maliciously badmouthing his detractors individually, I think you’d see much better results. What’s funny is that I’ve never even seen a stand-alone positive post about Cam from you in the mold of “Wow what an incredible game from Cam”....and if you or anyone else can pull even a single post like this up, then I will eat my crow. But yet, you only ever praise Cam in a secondary, indirect manner...in the same breath that you’re putting others down for any criticisms towards him: “You’ve got people out here complaining about Cam’s footwork...meanwhile he’s carrying the team’s run game” (+ insert thinly-veiled accusations of racism). Frankly, if you really delve into the psychology of your posting tendencies, it really appears you’re simply using Cam as a tool to empower your narrative/agenda to paint this entire board as racists. That is pretty damn concerning.

Only after a win. You know what the narrative would have been if Cincy had been able to come back on us.

I mean even here the one thread about how well Cam is playing has posts attempting to downplay his numbers. It's a shame, but par for the course. There are still fans who wait for him to slip up.

Hell, there will still people in the game thread in the 1st half complaining about Cam's "accuracy" and "footwork".

For the record, Cam went 11 for 14 passing in the 1st half with one maybe two dropped passes.

His deep balls were a little iffy early on but we're not throwing a huge amount of them.

The Turners have been great for Newton and he's responding well to their coaching. Can't help but wonder what could have been if Turner hadn't followed Chudzinski to Cleveland (even Norv now admits that was probably a mistake).

I see that Mr. "I don't take this seriously, or care what you guys think" @saints4lifeagain is furiously refreshing the huddle all morning again.
