Cmc for Fournette trade?

I think CMC is more versitile and seems to be able to stay healthy which is huge. Fournettes already missed a number of games in his young career because of injuries.

If i had to guess Fournette might have a decent career but his body wont last as long CMC and hell have much shorter career with way fewer games played due to injury.

To actually address the topic, No I wouldn't do the trade for two reasons.

1. Fournette has an injury history. Several soft tissue injuries since freshman year of college.  Add to the fact that his physical style of running makes him more susceptible to injuries.

2. He is not dynamic enough in the passing game.

I didn't think Fournette was worth that high of a pick so no. I was worried about his durability because he is such a physical runner, it was only a matter of time until he missed some games.

I think CMC is a better fit for our offense and Fournette is a better fit for their offense though. Neither would do as well as they are currently doing for the other team.

I just traded for fournette so my backfield looks like this:

RB1- S.Barkley

RB2- CMC

RB3- L. Fournette

RB4- A. Ekeler

I swung a trade at the beginning of my league for the #1 pick for Jordan Howard and a 3rd in that draft. I took Barkley.

Now I just traded for Howard again, giving up Locket, a 3rd round pick next year and a 3rd round pick in 2020.

So I essentially got Saquan and Howard for Locket and 3 3rd round picks.

If you're so sick of it maybe you shouldn't randomly inject it into threads yourself?

Nothing you said here is true. And why do you think I'm sick of it. You make me laugh. And if you think pooing me hurts my feelings I owned a plumbing company. Poo=money to me.

This coaching staff needs no possible players that would hint toward a run, run, pass, punt offense that we have seen here for far too long.

I valued CMC over Fournette before that draft, after their rookie years, and most certainly more now.

So no, I wouldn't consider it, and nor would they.

I gave up Locket and M.Ingram for LF.  Perfect timing with CMC on the bye.  Got a feeler trade prop for Cam, hoping to hear soon.

    • The OL has certainly been better than the trainwreck it was three or four years ago. As far as competitiveness let's apply some realism and clarity here. Quite a bit of the competitiveness in 2025 came from the defensive side of the ball which gave up the most points in league history the year before and was one of the bottom 5 units in terms of salary cap allocation for 2025 while the OL was top 3. We had the 26th passing offense last year. And if not for a herculean couple of games from Rico Dowdle we don't back our way into the division title or make the playoffs because we went 4-6 in our final ten games including being swept by the Saints who were starting a rookie 2nd round pick most of us mercilessly mocked when they selected him. In conclusion yes we've seen a difference. The question now is will the investment pay off the way we want. But the only way that happens is if we field a top 15 offense. If we can't even crack the top 20 then there need to be some very warm seats across the board. And I would hope just about anyone here should agree with that.
    • These Spurs are lowkey loaded.  If healthy, they could win it all this year (#2 in the West right now). I still think we’ve gotta keep Kalk on Wemby; he’s not getting completely dominated like every other NBA center.
    • Am I the only one who doesn't understand this fan bases infatuation with adding a high end TE? Especially when we have some bigger bodies in T-Mac and Coker who can slide into the slot at times and provide the big dependable target over the middle that most teams use their TE for. I mean, sure, it would be nice to have one of those elite TE's, but I feel like that's a position your better off going cheap with a committee who each bring something different to the table while spending our cap room on the more important positions. I like the potential we saw from Evans this year, Sanders could be a best if he can stay healthy, and Tremble has improved as well.  Just feels like spending high draft picks or cap space on other needs and more important positions is a better use of our resources than splashing on a TE in the draft or FA. Are those guys on the level of the Bowers or McBride's of the world?  Of course not, but we also are paying a fraction of the cost on our TE room than they are, and we're able to use that money for other needs.
