Anybody else see the statistic FOX showed about us falling behind?

He's an elite QB not average at all, but you're right that he's not one of the best come from behind QBs. His running is a huge part of his game and defenses typically don't need to account for it when they have a lead near the end of he game. I don't fuging understand why we didn't run the ball on that last drive. They were playing the pass and only the pass. Time wasn't a factor, we had plenty of time and timeouts and just needed to move the ball and get first downs and in the endzone. Partly on Cam and partly on playcalling. Was a disgusting loss.

Elite QB's are great come from behind QB's...so you just proved my point. I find it funny that people can't just admit that Cam is average and far from elite. It's okay to admit it.....The guy is a freak athlete, but he is an average QB.

Didn't you say that you don't even watch the team on gamedays anymore?

But you waste time posting this drivel? It's plain to see what ultimately bothers you the most about Cam Newton. And it has nothing to do with football.

You are an idiot...Typical liberal comment. And no, I don't watch the games anymore. I was actually siting on a resort island laughing at the fools on this board that think this team is a playoff caliber team. If y'all would step back and take of your homer glasses you would see it too.

Check your premise.

Cam is a great come from behind QB wtf are you talking about? He can only do so much. He almost made the comeback last year against the saints and this year against the Falcons. We came back and beat the Giants and barely lost today. If we didn't have moronic coaches we have a shot at a shorter FG or TD against NY and pull out the win today. Cam still doesn't have a WR worth a damn either.

Why do guys like Rodgers and Wilson get all the credit when their receivers make miracle plays. Rodgers throws a 7 yard slant that his wr takes 70 yards to the house or he throws a 60 yard hail mary into a mess of 8 defenders and some how his guy comes down with it and he's the hero? If Cam had that luck we beat the saints in the playoffs last year and would have been entering the game today at 4-0.

Cam did all he could and yes, we should have run. This loss was on the coaches because even if we scored, the clock management was so bad the skins would have had 30 sec and 2 timeouts to make something happen.

Just felt like this needed a nice little bump after today :)

They showed that we haven't come from behind from multiple scores near the end of the game since 2004. Attribute that to our defensive minded head coaches. They have held this team back for over 15 years. For both Fox and Rivera, we never saw better play calling or a better team overall until we were forced to. I think it's time to move away from this type of coaching.

I was thinking about that Rivera thread where the OP asked what better option is out there as if coaches are always known quantities before they're hired...  it made me laugh.  Did the Eagles know Andy Reid was an offensive genius when they hired him?  Did the Eagles know Pederson was as good as he was and would be as innovative hmas he's been to the point that he would take them to the Superbowl and win it?  Do the Colts know what Frank Reich is as a head coach yet?  No.  But do you know what all these guys have in common?  They are aggressive, respected, and offensive-minded coaches that all come from the same coaching tree.

Look at Walsh-Holmgren-Reid's tree and Ron's tree so far and see how these guys are doing and have done.  The key is being offensive-minded and aggressive.  Hell, I'd even just settle for aggressive at this point.  That's what separates consistent winners from inconsistent teams.

I don’t read every post. But being special is not a bannable offense. If he breaks a rule please report it.

But he does remind me of Uncle Finley.

I don't know Uncle Finley but I do remember Ickmule from the old Charlotte Observer Panthers forum. He has not changed one bit since then. He was just as negative then as he is now.

    • If you're looking for a pat on the back it sounds good in theory until you realize they also had the 2023 Panthers as the top draft class.
    • Going into the 2003 and 2015 seasons we were supposed to be the joke of the league each time. In 2003, John Fox was supposed to still be in rebuild mode. We had a guy named Peppers on the defensive line who was supposed to be pretty good. We had Rodney Peete as our starting QB and a line that was a lot of hope and not much experience. Our new running back was a guy the Redskins, errrr Commanders, had jettisoned for being too old. We had a good kicker and writers thought that was needed because there were going to be more field goals than touch downs. Heck, it looked like they were right up until just before halftime of that first game when we had to yank Rodney Peete and put in some Cajun duded whose name couldn't be pronounced. And Steve Smith? He wasn't Smitty yet. Moose Muhammad, well, he was close to being written off as a bust. You know how that turned out. And then in 2015, we had Cam Newton, who was electrifying to watch but hadn't really won anything yet. There was an offensive line in front of him that looked like it was made in a defunct Swiss cheese factory and our big hope on offense was the great Kelvin Benjamin. And then he got taken out for the year with a knee injury in training camp. Ted "Feet of Lightning, Hands of Stone" Ginn became our default go to guy beside our next best hope, yeah, Devin Funchess. Our defense was pretty good, a scrappy bunch with frikkin' awesome linebacker play and a cornerback who had done more than drank the Kool-Aid, but had snorted the powder. He played like a superhero and became sort of a bat-man during the season. By the Super Bowl he had completely lost his freaking mind, though, and managed to talk his way out of a contract with the team next year. No one was expecting us to win the NFCSouth that season, much less almost go undefeated and into the Super Bowl. So, 2026? Who knows? But our best seasons came when no one had a reason to believe in us, except us.
    • it's not so much this personal vendetta against the Carolina Panthers as it is more about Bryce Young never not once been in the same conversation with the top 15 or even top 20 Qbs in the NFL ..just saying
