Eric Washington needs to...

Mr. Scot

Washington to DC has not worked out so far. The entire D looks out of sorts and a big part of it is the DL he is no longer coaching is underperforming in a major way. It seems like we took major steps backwards at DC and DL coach with this move.

I agree (and I've stated as much several times on here) that there needs to be serious consideration for Rivera to take over the play calling duties and Washington to go back to focusing on coaching the DL.

It's fair to note that Washington is running the defense with new position coaches at all three levels.

Also worth noting that Richard Rodgers is coaching the DBs

Well...when we're in prevent and still give up 40 yard and 60 yard plays/touchdowns....that's so anti pro and hilarious....don't even know wtf to say.

Like seriously....even if the call is dumb don't the fugin player realize the situation? I know if I was a S and in the Giants game....i wouldn't let ANYONE behind me....don't matter what the call is...poo like that happens to this team too much for it to just be one thing.

Washington needs to keep doing what he is doing and not worry about the opinions of huddlers. He is staying positive unlike some of you.

Well, to be fair, that is what fans do. And with the advent of the interwebz, we are now lucky enough to get to read them all.

Hellz, this place was a mess last year. And we went 11-5. We could play a damm near flawless game, and some would still find fault.

Wilkes was the DBs coach before becoming DC, and then the DBs struggled. Washington was the Dline coach before becoming DC, and the Dline is struggling. Coinky dinky?

I don't think Coach Washington is reading through Huddle to see what we think. If he is, we're in a lot bigger trouble than I thought.

How do you know what he reads through? Do you know him personally? Funchess seemed to know about people calling him soft and responded.

I already knew all of that but he is a new DC and has a new D-Line coach. When you start a new job you still have to learn and grow into the position even if you have experience, I see it everyday. Now imagine trying to be a new defensive coach in a pass happy league. I'm going to give him a full season before I call for him to be replaced.

Did I make a definitive statement about what he does or does not read?

Here's a definitive statement: If Eric Washington reads the Huddle and frets about what we think, then we are good and proper fuged.

Ugh giving someone a position who doesn't have the experience seems like a ridiculous idea. But I will say I've liked the play of our DBs outside of Munny who seems to be the weakest link if Elder could get one game he'd probably outplay him but Ron's a injury not performance type of coach when it comes to making personnel changes.

    • I wouldn’t be surprised if the Pats win it all or at least get there. Maye is awesome.
    • Young quarterbacks Drake Maye, Bo Nix, and Bryce Young have led their teams to undefeated records since October.   Drake Maye has guided the New England Patriots to a 5-0 record in that period, with 2,285 passing yards and 17 touchdowns in nine games. Bo Nix has directed the Denver Broncos to a 5-0 stretch, throwing for 1,976 yards and 17 touchdowns, contributing to a 7-2 overall start. Bryce Young, in his second season, has led the Carolina Panthers to a 4-0 run since October, accumulating 1,390 yards and 11 touchdowns amid a 4-4 record.   Undefeated QBs since start of October (min. 4 starts)   Drake Maye 5-0 Bo Nix 5-0 Bryce Young 4-0   Bryce Young when asked about his mindset during game winning drives: "You don’t rise to the occasion you fall back to the level of your training."
    • 1. Cowboys-No explanation needed. 2. Rest of NFC South equally. If I had to pick I would say Falcons.    3. Eagles- Both of the games I have attended there the fans were so horrible. The fan base is so ridiculously misbehaved, I’ve never seen such immaturity. 4- Lions- I have cousins in Michigan that grew up Lions fans and they are some of the most obnoxious people I have ever met, as are all of their Lions buddies. The NFL has been lucky that Detroit has been in the cellar for its eternity.    5. Tie between Bears and Vikings. Both act like Steelers, Cowboys, Niners fans do with nostalgia and legendary seasons but neither have ever really had them. They act like they each won 5 super bowls in previous decades but never accomplished poo outside of Chicago in 85.
