Sick of seeing CJ Anderson on the bench in the goal line

Look, I love CMC, but goal line offense is Anderson's wheelhouse - McCaffery has no rushing touchdowns this year. Put him behind Armah and not only is the run more viable, the pass also becomes harder to defend since they have to focus on Anderson up the middle.

I’m honestly surprised he’s not pissed, he deserves more touches at least 10-14 a game. That’s the thing about running this slow pace offense(until it’s a absolute must), we got talented guys not getting enough snaps

If I was him I might not go as far as to demand a trade but I would definitely be asking the Panthers to at least call around prior to the deadline.

I kinda feel for CJ. I'm sure he was told he was going to to have a significant role in this offense and he's pretty much having his career tanked. He might be looked at as a veteran minimum type guy after this year if this trend continues.

Everyone should come to grips that CJ is CMCs back up, and that’s it

I think everyone understands that. Hell, it's exactly what I was trying to tell everyone in the offseason when people were trying to say that CJ might be the bellcow. But, CJ has 17 touches through 6 games. Hes on track for under 50 touches on the year. That's generally #3 RB territory. That's definitely unexpected for one of the higher paid #2 RBs in the NFL.

I’d like to see at least a 85/15 snap distribution between CMC and CJ just so we don’t wear CMC out.

I get why his snaps would be low the past two games since we were playing feom behind the majority of the game and CMC is one of our best receivers, but yeah, when we're in the mode of running the ball I'd like to see him taking some more of those snaps for the exact reason you stated.

    • Most of the talk revolving around Baker's injury is speculation. It wouldn't surprise me if the Bucs have been gaming the injury report but Bowles has already been fired from one head coaching gig. He's decidedly mediocre at best as a head coach. I just don't want to see the Bucs upgrade. But if they do fire Bowles and hire a first time head coach I think things could get bumpy with Baker Mayfield at the helm sooner or later. As far as Coen it's still early. I remember when Brian Daboll was a hot name his first couple seasons with the Giants. Now he's unemployed. It's a marathon not a sprint. We're seeing less and less coaches with true staying power. Or at least certainly less that don't ultimately hit a wall by year 3 or 4. I don't think we're gonna see too many John Harbaugh's and Mike Tomlin's in the coming years. Too much outside noise and too little patience nowadays.
    • Frank what are you even talking about? He was the #1 QB in his high school class and the #2 overall recruit. Why would he be at a smaller school? Dude threw for dang near 5000 yards his sophomore season at Alabama with Jamison Williams and John Metchie. Good players but more speed than skilled. Maybe that's this dude's problem. Panthers keep bringing in big body WRs, but maybe he needs wiry fast guys instead.  CJ Stroud threw for over 4000 that season too. Care to look at his receivers?
    • You can blame DC or you can blame Bryce but reality is it’s both of them. Bryce is making the decision to check down so much but DC isn’t committed to the run 🤷‍♂️
