Rams release Jamon Brown RG

Recommended Posts

Anyone familiar with him?  I saw he was released.  Drafted 3rd round 2015.  Played in 41 games since, started 30.  Mostly at RG.  Experience at C.

Rams were hoping to get something for him, but ended up releasing him after no bites.  He lost his starting job after serving a 2 game suspension for substance abuse.

He started all 16 games last year for the Rams, which ranked 3rd in run blocking, 9th in pass.  He graded out personally to the 38th best guard.  I wouldn't be expecting him to start or anything, but as a depth move if he could fall to us.

Otherwise I don't know anything about him other than easily google-able facts that don't really seem to say much.

Put in a waiver claim and cut Amini. He can’t be worse.

Might not get to us. We are pretty low in the waiver priority and tons of teams have trash OL.

Giants or Cards could probably use him badly. Wouldn’t expect him to get past them honestly unless there are other issues.

Don’t like them getting Dante Fowler...they are dying for a Super Bowl

dude jags won that deal. fowler is garbage. Check his stats - for a first round pick they are embarrassing, poo for any pick up until the 6th round they are embarrassing. They are cut worthy.

This is my least favorite move by Les Snead so far.

Shiiiitttttt

Under achiever yeah, off the field problems check, on that DL a possible beast HELL yes.

In 2017, Fowler had his best season in the NFL. He recorded eight sacks, 10 quarterback hits, seven tackles for loss and 37 pressures.

I know this coaching staff feels like we can win it.  We can no doubt.  Just need to execute but we are good enough to win it.

just the thought of ruining both the rams and saints seasons as they both go all in for SB kinda makes me giddy inside. I know if we bring our A game we have a chance... there's always a chance with QB1. I believe

Yep. I dont care who we play - we ALWAYS have a chance against ANYONE. Last year watching him win at Foxboro, against Rodgers and against the Vikings D with the trash we had at LT and WR made me realize it. Only other QB that gives me that feeling that he can win any game is Brady

    • With the contract money an OT first rounder makes you can ALWAYS get a new girlfriend.  And probably an upgrade at that.  You only got 2 parents.
    • Brother. You are wholly confusing comparing situations and applying actual standards like most other franchises do like simply getting into a playoff series and winning at least 1 or 2 series games with praising. Nobody is praising the Hawks. Nobody is praising the Magic. Nobody here likes those teams. But reality is reality. The Hawks like other franchises have traded players fired coaches etc but they can still win a couple playoff games. How is that not the bare floor for you or anyone else? What are we doing here if it isn't? We've seen eye to eye on many things over the years. But you are in the camp on the Hornets where you are emotionally attached to LaMelo where you feel the need to carry his water like he's got that juice. That's cool that you feel that way. It's your prerogative. But I differ from that viewpoint entirely. If he had that juice we would not have gotten wiped off the court in 2 play in games with 2 different coaching staffs and rosters. if people don't like hearing that well I'm sorry but how the hell is this team ever going to get better and ultimately go anywhere in the postseason if we just blindly pat them on the back for getting their asses whooped before they actually even get into the real playoffs? There seem to be some Bryce Young level standards being applied here. That's wild to me. But to each his own.
    • Proctor/Freeling were always the belles of the ball where we were picking. What those two *could* become at OT was far greater than what others could be at their respective positions and I’m glad our FO could see that.
