    • Ron Rivera (LOL)
    • Sean McDermott
    • Bruce Arians
    • Bill Cowher (always brought up)
    • Mike Leach
    • Condoleezza Rice
    • Other (name your coach in the thread)

It makes too much sense (which is probably why it wont happen). He was on the staff when Andy Reid designed a fast, up tempo offense that the league took about a couple years to catch up too....while having noodle armed Alex Smith at the helm.

Part of an organization (Chiefs) that doesn't shy away from young talent obscure talent (Kareem Hunt, Pat Mahomes) and doesn't shy away from potential superstars who might have a troubled past (Travis Kelce, Tyreek Hill). Also they don't mind playing those talented younger guys when older vets aren't get the Job done.

Eric was part of a successful Chiefs staff, getting all the plaudits for Regular Season success, only to fall short in the playoffs. Ultimately deciding that Alex Smith was no longer the answer. Eric is the Offensive Coordinator of a team that is 9-1, with a rookie Quarterback, who is rewriting the history books.

Andy Reid has proven coaching tree, some of his coordinators have either won in the playoffs or are going to the playoffs.

Eric is my Candidate.

Great call but not sure if he’d take the job. If Hurney is doing the hire, look for a “hard-nosed, defensive-minded” (read: dumbass pussy) coach

Everyone is going to say they want a McVay type. Easier said than done.

when people say they want a Sean McVay type they don't mean a 32 year old offensive genius that could coach us for the next 3 decades. they mean they want to take a CHANCE on a young innovative offensive mind. some fresh blood.

It would never happen but Lincoln Riley

Definitely the next I had in mind. Look around the league at the dominant teams. Aggressive offensive minded coaches. Lincoln Riley with a seasoned NFL DC would be my first choice.

The one reservation I have is that he's only 35 with no NFL experience. That's a bit worrisome in terms of commanding the respect of an NFL locker room. Sean McVay is younger, but virtually all of his coaching experience has come at the NFL level. Managing grown ass men NFL players wasn't new to him.

I wouldn't be opposed to it. Reid thinks he's an excellent head coach just waiting for an opportunity. Only one year as a coordinator (under the guidance of an offensive mastermind) definitely gives me pause though. I just don't know if he's ready to run a ship himself just yet.

I think Condoleeza Rice would be absolutely be a better head coach than Rivera.  Just get her a decent DC and keep Norv Turner, then just let her study in-game decision making 24/7, and I'm sure in 2 weeks she would have a better understanding than Rivera on how to make in-game decisions

Not sure about head coach but defensive coordinator? Guarantee she’d be a step up from Washington

    • Taking only players from the sheet that are realistically available in or after the listed round, I’d like… 1st: DT Caleb Banks (Styles not realistic) 2nd: LB Jacob Rodriguez 3rd: OT Best available from Bowry, Barber, and Casey 4th: CB Daylen Everette 5th: S Jalen Huskey 6th: RB Adam Randall 7th: IOL Best available from Lemieux, Dawkins, Leausa, and Brose   I know nothing about some of the players listed, but it seems like that would be the best way it could fall for now. I’m sure the list of who we meet will change a ton, and there will also be players we don’t meet with to keep quiet. I’d love to pick up Randall in the late rounds.
    • Not what I said. They know within the building why we aren't utilizing TEs more. If the rumors were true that we were seriously pursuing a couple of decent receiving TEs that strongly points toward a lack of quality receiving TEs currently on the roster. Does that mean we consider drafting one at 19? I don't know, but it wouldn't shock me and if we did there's only one guy it would be. I wouldn't be surprised at all to see TE drafting somewhere in the first three rounds.
    • Yeah, I don’t know. Tepper was behind the Bryce selection. Behind firings and hiring over his lack of development.  He doesn’t have to literally tell them their hands are tied for them to know this. It is in the air constantly. The Canales Bryce play calling was even portrayed by more than one person as Canales failing Bryce, instead of Bryce being responsible for his own performance (except when he does well, then it is all him). Now they have an extra coach in, to help the new OC get results from this QB.  The atmosphere is not welcoming to prototypical young QBs that have talent. You get Jake Plummer types or old vets. I think we are stuck.
