Sad but true. Look at his deep ball prior to the injury. He just doesn’t have it anymore

Y’all can’t be this fuging stupid. We don’t have a deep passing game because the line can’t block long enough. It’s really that simple.

Does Gettleman get to add destroying a once-in-a-generation QB's arm to his flawless legacy?

Not unless Gettleman was the one that set the offensive gameplan or decided when to keep starters in or take them out.

Those things all fall under coaching. And it's been an oft discussed concern that Rivera was basically going to ride Newton into the ground.

I didn't think it'd happen for a few more years, but watching today was painful.

Agreed, Rivera is largely responsible, but essentially forcing Gross into retirement and then protecting him with turnstiles and projects didn't help.

But yes, it mostly falls on Ron.

With how atrocious this defense has been, do we even realistically have that much in the way of available resources to shift to rebuilding our OL to where it needs to be to make a run? We're taking a big L when we shed ourselves of Matt Kalil as well.

Within the next few seasons we will have desperate to arguably dire needs at DT, DE, CB, LB, you name it.

Even if you make a change at QB, unless we somehow get absurdly lucky in the draft and bring in some defensive stud, that QB, whoever he is, will still be having to regularly make something out of nothing. No Cam Newton? There goes the advantage for CMC in the run game of having to account for Newton. Remember what our offense looked like with Shula when the defense was expecting the run? You think this will improve with just any another QB? Keep dreaming.

But at the end of the day Cam has to want to be here. I wouldn't blame him one bit if he didn't.

he's having the best year of his career (sans this game, sure) and people are saying he's done

just amazing

No argument that this has been his best season, but by the end of the game today, it was looking painful.

If he has to have another shoulder surgery this offseason, that's gonna be concerning

Oher was neither of those things.

Neither is Moton, but Rivera believes Chris Clark is better.

(kinda like Silatolu was better than Norwell)

Glad some of you aren't doctors.

Nurse: Dr, the patient has a headache.

Dr:  He's done, might as well buy a burial plot.

Certainly Cam's arm is not 100%.  I think that was obvious.  Doesn't mean he is done by any stretch of the imagination.

Can't say he's done.

Can say it's a concern, and if he has to have shoulder surgery again, it gets even bigger.
