The 2018 Panthers are the 2011 Bucs

The Bucs, if you'll recall, started 4-2. Optimism permeated throughout the disease-ridden cesspool that is Raymond James Stadium. Dozens of fans lined up to witness Buccaneer football at its finest -- and then Raheem Morris remembered who he is, and the Yucs lost 10 in a row to finish 4-12.

The Panthers started 6-2. Optimism permeated throughout the heavenly confines of Bank of America Stadium. Three million fans witnessed Panther football at its finest -- until Ron Rivera remembered that he forgot to hire anyone worth a fug on the defensive side of the ball, Graham Gano returned to his usual self and the Panthers lost *checks notes* eight in a row to finish 6-10.

Things we have going for us that they didn't: Franchise QB, franchise RB, two big-play WRs and a franchise LB. Otherwise, they're a carbon copy (besides the diseases)

We've gone O-fer in December one time in franchise history -- so far

The 2006 Panthers were 8-8 so if the trend holds true the team will be 2-2 in December. Overall they're both just underachieving teams who came into the season with high expectations and dropped a lot of games they shouldn't have, even getting wrecked by the Steelers both years.

    • I feel like Jalen Milroe is this year's Anthony Richardson, but he was drafted in the third round with no plans for him to start his first year. He has a much better chance to make it.  They thought AR was going to learn to pass in the NFL by being a staring running qb who cannot keep a defense honest.  It should not be a surprise that he is struggling and picking up injuries.
    • Part of this is us getting old I feel like, no offense.  No artist has the power to destroy a genre in my opinion, and if they do, I would kinda like to see it, haha. If groups like Public Announcement could have a hit like Body Bumpin' back in the day, and nothing really happen, I think we will be just fine. People like what they like.  It doesn't really cause any damage to any other lane.  It's all evolution and paving the way.  Some of it we like, some of it we don't. It's not like if somehow Glorilla was all over the radio or playing in the grocery store, it would stop you from listening to Immortal Technique.  The table is vast, everyone can eat.
    • At this point it isn't even debatable. The first two games of the season last year loom large. Not just Bryce that extends across the roster to all the starters. Opening the season again with back to back road games. The starters need a significant amount of preseason reps.
