You mean the Jake that was done? The one who's hand and elbow were gone?

I've always said 2003 to 2007 Jake was the best we've seen from a passing standpoint.

The more you post about this the more clear your intent becomes.

Quit while you're behind.

Also quit living in the past.

Bad idea. Real fans of the team visit less and less because the team sucks and don't want to talk. Haters are joining and adding clicks. The Huddle stopped being a "forum" and became a "business" many moons ago.

If we cant handle trolling and the same kind of hate we give other teams, and also mods and site owners are so butthurt over it they are deleting accounts (which bring clicks)...posting about their troll posts on their own forums (which bring more clicks) ..what service are you doing to either this forum by protecting us from big bad criticism, ..or otherwise to the bottom line of this "business"?

Its bad enough we talk poo about Ryan and Brees even though BOTH are far better QB's than our own. When we are winning we Huddlers talked ALL KINDS OF POO here, and on their forums. But you make this post...and sounds like we are lil bitches that cant handle it!

Sure hope we are stronger than this kind of mess!

It’s time to be candid with what has been happening

we have lost 5 games in a row to mostly bottom feeders

while Cam is certainly not 100%...he is a long way from playing winning football...especially when the game is on the line

and yes, this losing streak is not all his fault...but he is the starting QB and much of our shortcomings are because he hasn’t been making plays in the clutch

I've seen a few posts in here with fair analysis and this is ok too. The thread though is about making reactionary threads, click bait thread titles  and usernames towards Cam and trashing him saying he sucks, he's a bum, always a choker, Scam, and question his intelligence.

Cam is a high character, top of line guy...hard worker, intelligent, great face for our franchise

but he has been awful in winning moments this year and it has killed our team

Again that's fine too. You're type of analysis isn't what's in question and neither was the other I saw in here. Just trying to clear up the ones that think they can't say anything critical of Cam and what this thread is actually about.

There is still a "Cam lost the game" thread open for discussion...  There's still a "Cam might be released," thread which is completely asinine.  I think I'm being fairly lenient...  there is no problem criticizing Cam, blaming Cam, going on about all the reasons you don't believe in Cam...  or any player or coach, I have no qualms.  But, the guys joining, with no history here, who are barely literate, but just literate enough to sound off dog whistles every other sentence and the sole subject they're invested in is Cam, only Cam, and specifically trashing Cam...  then there is a clear agenda there that goes beyond football, and it won't be tolerated.  Posters with usernames or making thread titles like S-c-a-m Newton aren't here to discuss football.  As long as you've been here, you should recall the divide on the board prior to and immediately after drafting Cam...  the stuff that is creeping up now is a byproduct of the same underbelly of the "fanbase" that would rather quit being a fan of the Panthers before they have Cam as their starting QB...  they went back under their rocks during all of our success, and now they want to come back out and pick back up where they left off with the same mindless, heavily-coded drivel.  It's not gonna fly here.  It shouldn't have to be explained, and it's pretty easy to understand the reasons for this...  if you're established here, and you have a well-informed opinion, you're free to criticize whoever you want and however you want within reason...  but this isn't going to become a political/special interest rally.

It's not being sensitive or censory, it is maintaining a basic level of civility and decency.  If Jeremy wants to approach it differently, he may...  it is his site.  But, something had to be done to hedge off the influx of substanceless trolls.

I joined last week, and one of the reasons I didn't post my observations about the missed fourth down pass and the final interception was I did not want it swirl down with the chunks past Mr. Ty-D-Bowl. And this thread had not started when I shook my head and walked away, so the lunacy was pretty easily identifiable.

Let me offer this conclusion on what little I saw (Panther games are a rarity on the tube out here, and I saw the end of yesterday after the gripping drama that was the Giants - Redskins game).  Cam's footwork was awful on the interception and the failed 4th down pass.  Both passes went where they were likely to go given he stepped into the bucket (sideways) rather than into either pass.  Looking at the highlights, it does not look he was doing that all day (he rarely steps completely into a pass, but his good throws tend to be more stepped into than sideways).  That habit should have been broken long ago, and the common name of who was charged with that from Cam's day one here until the end of last year is Mike Shula.

But, the other thing that was obvious is our secondary could not cover four of us running random pass patterns after drinking beer, especially if any of us stayed upright long enough to go deep. I'm just not sure how a team can expect to win like that.

Maybe I missed a lot of good things, considering the only Panther play I saw live was the final interception.  But the highlights from several sights would indicate to me our primary defensive strength is chasing an opposing receiver who has the ball and gotten behind everybody.  And one of the highlights was Luke catching said receiver,.

While I am starting to have some serious doubts about Cam moving forward (both injuries and a tendency to have  the footwork of a discus thrower), that pales in comparison to the doubts I have about this defense and the current coaching staff's ability to squeeze the best results out of whatever roster they have.

This is fair. You said the same thing I did he isn't a Joe Montana so everyone should stop treating him as such.

I think the big anti cam pushback here is in response to the members that act like Cam is the Messiah.

When what he is is a really good QB who needs team wins.

You have 2 old school coaches trying to strategize over a new wave QB.  It is tough abandoning what has always worked for you and trust Cam to make plays.  Coaching keeps getting in the way.  I admit, Cam should have made the plays, but give him options and have him make throws that are in his skill set.

Blaming Cam, to some degree, is like blaming the horse that takes the rider off a cliff--sure, the horse should have known better and done better, but the idiot rider put the horse on the cliff.  Now, if he makes these throws, we say nothing about this.  But he didnt.

Those morons have literally fractured this fanbase. It's sickening.

I can respect that and appeciate your measured approach in sharing your opinion.  This is what I'm looking for, regardless of opinion...  well-thought out, fair, and again, measured.  It's not about agreeing, it's about the line between being reasonable and just straight up trolling.  People know the difference.

Thank you for your contribution.

Sorry but he is telling the truth. People need to start holding Cam accountable. He has played terrible during this losing streak causing us to lose at least 3 of them because of his piss poor play. Don't want to hear he is playing hurt, if he is take him out. Guess what Ron won't because he wants to keep his job. That's why he should be fired, he is playing our 100 million dollar QB on a bum shoulder. I'm starting to wonder about Tepper myself and really don't see the brass balls everyone was talking about.
