Agreed. He is listed as the 28th ranked linebacker in the NFL, but I have no idea how the ratings are compiled. Statistically, his best year, but I haven't seen a stat listing missed tackles, plays out of position or how often he has been manhandled by TEs and RBs.

Don't hold your breath.  Not everyone views Shaq like some fans do.  He has a much better chance of sticking around than you give him credit for.

    I don’t think he’s bad. A little above average. That’s fine at a value. But an OLB who doesn’t rush the passer or cover well doesn’t get or deserve that kind of money. Too many other needs.

Time to see what the younger guys can do.....While Shaq is not terrible, he was definitely not worth a first round pick.

He does what he's told to do, while playing injured at that.  If you're going to dissect his game know what he's been asked to do and then determine if he's doing it.  Tell me you've seen how fubar this entire defense was this season, right?  What else do you want him to do?

  I’ve watched every snap of his for 4 years. I don’t fault him for not being able to cover slot WRs. But he doesn’t cover anyone well for a guy drafted to do exactly that. Tell me what I’m being unfair about if you want to dissect things. Saying he’s not worth 9.6M isn’t an insult. It’s reality based on value.

The entire scheme was bad.  Everyone was missing assignments or out of position.  You just don't like Shaq because you think he should be having 3 or 4 highlight real plays a game due to where he was drafted.

  What about the last 3 years? 

  While you’re telling me how I feel about Shaq(what do my expectations have to do. With his overall play)? We drafted him to be a coverage LB. He is not. Not on TEs or RBs. Show me where he is worth 9.6M in today’s market? Because that is all I said, and I don’t consider him a bust either. And never have. So attacking me and avoiding the issues is way off base here. 

   A 3-year/21M  contract wouldn’t be bad.
