No it's not. Many years there are no centers drafted in the 1st round. It takes an elite center prospect to go in the top 20. Virtually every year there's an OT that goes in the top 10. LT is by far the toughest position to play on the OL and that's why they're by far the most valuable.

I appreciate what Kalil has done but, let's be honest, Center isn't a very glorified position.

Being glorified is different than being vital. I rank C over LT in terms of importance because of all they have to do. You can aid an LT with a quick passing scheme but C still has to make the appropriate line calls and adjustments on top of making perfect snaps.
