Breer believes the Panthers will make no changes

This is where I am.  We have no clue what to expect from Tepper, as should be the case.  However, he did state that he "wanted to win" when he held his first press conference.

Ron Rivera: .549 as a head coach.

Marty Hurney:  .481 with 3 winning seasons out of 12.

Tells me Ron is Average, an Marty is below average.

That 3 winning seasons out of 12 is misleading and you know it.

It's a "what have you done for me lately" league and we've lost 7 straight.  Rivera likely did what he does best and behind the scenes through the players under the bus to save his as$.  And I guarantee Hurney has been trying to schmooz Tepper.

This season straight up sucks but have accepted Rivera is here for at least another.  Hurney will stay.  Tepper will probably have like one presser at season's end to ease some minds.  The casuals will be fine with it.

If that does not happen, then I will be pleasantly surprised but we are cursed with these bojanglers.

How, exactly?

We went 7-9 in 2002 (Hurney's first season), in 2001 we set the record for most loses in a row. 2002 was a success - built on that success with a super bowl appearance the following year.

2004 - season ending injuries to Steve Smith, Kris Jenkins (best DT at the time), Stephen Davis, DeShaun Foster. We had a nice second half of the season; finished one game out of the playoffs. With those players we would have made the playoffs.

2007 - lost prime Jake Delhomme early in the season. Equivalent to losing Cam early and expecting Heinicke to lead us to the playoffs.

So...3 winning seasons out of 12.

Got it.

Like you'd trust Dan Snyder, Jerry Jones and Mike Brown?

I mean hey, they made money, so that shows aptitude.

I'm not convinced, but maybe if you write a wall of text I'll think about it.

Once again extreme characterization. I trust Kraft, Luria, Rooney and others. Hey they made money and have winning teams. You can point out good or bad owners but because some are bad doesn't mean all are bad or that Tepper is. He has more ownership experience than most new owners. The only thing that changed is he disagreed with you like many have.

Which part has Tepper disagreed with?  And when did he tell anyone?

first off: fug albert breer. He's the dude who recently had a poo tastic tweet about Cam's outfit.

second: I've been a die hard fan forever. Since I was in the fifth grade (I'm 28 now) I haven't missed a game.

However, this is my final straw. I'll still watch games. I'll still follow the draft (love the draft) but us bringing back Ron. Nah. I'm done financially supporting this team until real changes are made and we stop wasting Cam's prime with someone that hasn't improved since he's gotten here. He is a terrible in game coach and is stubborn beyond belief that has lost us football games and risked Cam's longterm health.

Does Tepper understand it if he chooses not to make changes?

It's pretty damn easy to turn a profit holding the Panthers, JR knew this, and continued to give us trash on the field...if Tepper does this as well?  He too is a loser.  We shall see.

We KNOW that Hurney is a loser...that's pretty easy to see.  W's vs. L's in his career.  This isn't grey, this is black and white.

So unless Tepper agrees with you he is a loser....

Right......

    • I mean I think its a bit disingenuous to call basically anyone here a casual fan. I don't think the casual fan creates a profile then logs into it, in the offseason, to comments on mundane offseason topics.. I dont think anyone on here would be considered a casual fan. That said, I get your point. My POV is from the player. They sign this contract, move their family because of these contracts. When Clowney came him, we basically had a coming home party for him.  So yeah, I get why we did it and I know that ultimately the owner doesnt 'save' money, but I can feel for the human side of the player, which is why I want them to get all they can while they can.
    • My guess is the NBA will either send Flagg back “home” to the Northeast in Brooklyn or Washington, or San Antonio so that they can keep building around Wemby. If I was a betting man I would take the odds on the Spurs. This definitely feels like a #1 pick that they will rig.
    • In fairness, she is ensuring she is talked about.  People really aren’t going out there way to bring her up.  It’s some weird poo.  She would end up getting talked about given her actions if she was 40. Bill realizing some of these high end “companions” got a game of their own.  That’s what I don’t think Bill saw coming.
