How do you fire a GM for the failure of a staff. Rivera has already ran Hurney and Dave out of town. Also as clueless as Rivera is with the draft are you going to pair him with a young GM? Can you say disastrous. Rivera is the problem and as long as he's employed the Panthers are not going to win anything.

I am trying to guess what Tepper will do.  I am not a Hurney fan, but I do not blame him for this season--I think Tepper is in build mode, and he may look at breaking the Hurney/Rivera kiss of death by removing Hurney.

I am with  you--Rivera is the problem--he is the fraud who has ridden the Cam/Luke wave all the way to sunshine beach without knowing how to surf.  Hurney makes some Stupid picks (like Gaulden, Haynes) but he gets the first pick right--still, he signed Poe.

The best case is firing both but we are too far gone to do that. Next year isn't going to be the cake walk schedule everyone thinks and we are going to face some really good teams and if we keep both its going to be game over week 6.

The biggest chance is Hurney being fired honestly. To his defense I really liked his aggressive moves and draft this last year. People can say what they want to but he went all out to bring in the best available free agents.

i really believe the coaching staff just really stinks at adjusting schemes to fit player strengths— the New Orleans Game for me showed what our defense was capable of all year.

Rivera not being fired this year puts a bandaid on when you should just rip the scab off and get it over with.

Hurney has the best chance to get fired, but honestly I don’t believe he was the problem.

so last week i'm headed over to my friend's house, game's coming on the radio, and i like to play 'how long before mick mixon grosses/creeps me out with some  strange sexual references?    his opening frikking monologue.   first or second sentence contained 'cam newton, a body kissed by genetics' and mixed with how he said it, it said a new record.  under 5 seconds

I think so.  Rivera's ties to the Turner family might be in play. FIRING Both would be good.  I hate it when we get into situations where our guys have to play chess with the coaches and GMs from other teams.  We usually lose.

Ron isn’t going anywhere. Huddle will explode on Black Monday.

Not sure about Hurney. Tepper keeping him really makes no sense, but there really isn’t much talk about who Tepper would bring in.

Id say there’s a pretty good chance we’re stuck with both these guys for another year.

I'm not sure anything happens on black Monday, especially if whomever Tepper may be interested in is still coaching/employed by a playoff team.   I would not fire someone until I had a viable replacement lined up.  But I'm not a billionaire owner with huge brass balls hanging in my office.
