Even though the Shrine Game usually has prospects that are third day selections or UDFAs come April’s draft, the Shrine Game has produced 77 Hall of Famers in it’s 93 iterations – can’t find a diamond in the rough without first searching in the rough.

Let’s take a look at some players you might want to keep your eye on this Saturday – the Panthers have reportedly met with the following players over the course of practices this week:

  • G/T Josh Miles – Morgan State University

The 6-3, 310 pound tackle only allowed one sack over the course of his senior year – he is the first Morgan State player to play in the Shrine Game.

  • WR Terry Godwin – University of Georgia

When Godwin was targeted in 2018, his quarterback rating was 146.8, according to PFF; Godwin likely projects as a slot receiver in the NFL at 5-11, 185 pounds with great short-area quickness.

Good point about a lot of these prospects being late draft guys.  

People need to understand that these could be positions we are looking for backups later in the draft, not our priorities with our first 3-4 picks.

Yes these are bubble guys.  The good ones out of shrine will be late round to max of 3rd.  Senior bowl has round 2-3 guys. And 1st round guys just do the combine.

      Rotating in Chuba was beyond stupid and really hurt our offense overall. We’ve been in a good rhythm the last 6 quarters or so but Canales figured disrupting that with Chuba would be worth it Rico fits this offense so much better than Chuba    As far as grades go I know that ain’t our RB1, starting Center and our supposedly deep WR room and exciting talented young TE in dead last. Weird. I wonder if that has any correlation on QB play  Even that first incomplete ball Bryce threw in the end zone that hit Legette’s hands. Legette had no business being there so early. Legette went into scramble drill when that ball was intended for Coker who led up because of the traffic there

      Yeah Jets have pretty much been in every game they've played and have barely lost to really good teams. They are much better than their record says Imo

      I kinda just wanna see what the offense can do with a QB who has proven he can move the football in the NFL. If Dalton wasn't a shadow of his former self I'd be fine with him but Father Time has definitely caught up with him. If we start piling up the losses as the schedule gets tougher and the passing offense continues to be anemic that might cast Canales his job and it's worth a very low risk move IMO to at least give him a fighting chance. The thought of yet another Tepper rebuild just isn't at all exciting to me having already seen a few of them. I'm about giving this current guy a fighting chance.
