Classless is an understatement Mr. Scot, but unfortunately I believe even the Panthers have a certain fan base that would harass the officials after that call...maybe not to the extent of the Aints though!

I'm sorry but I don't buy into these theories....there have been too many missed calls, opportunities, etc. to get caught up in all that drama.  Sh*t happens and the Aints got soiled yesterday!

A cursory glance through the Saints forum show their fans believe the commissioner a NFL main office have rigged it AGAINST them!

I would have rented a car out of pocket and drove like hell to get away after that game if I couldn't be on a plane asap. Maybe bring a wig too.

Yeah, almost every team has been in a big game where they thought the NFL had the game rigged beforehand.  I think that's where the lines blur for rationale fans and irrational fans.  Just like our Superb owl against the Broncos, we can concoct as many rigged for Peyton and the Broncos as much as we want, but it doesn't change the fact that the Lombardi Trophy for the game resides in Denver and there is absolutely nothing we can do about it.

Were calls missed?  Yeah, quite a few that would have changed the ebb and flow of the game; but would they have certainly produced a Carolina Super Bowl win?  Not necessarily.....we had some opportunities in that game to make plays and put points on the board and didn't take care of what we could control.

Reality sucks for all teams.  There's no guarantee that the Aints win that game with how poorly they managed the clock, who knows what happens if the refs call all the missed penalties on the Aints - do the Rams keep drives alive and score TDs or do FG drives become TD drives?  The Rams' kicker deserves a lot of credit for being stone cold and sending the Rams to the Superb owl.

tl;dr :  Every NFL team fan base has said this at least once or more.

On their way to the escorted Lombardi the Taints were guilty of the most heinous crime in football resulting in their Head Coach and defensive coordinator being suspended due to their tactics/practices. The bans should have been lifetime and non appealable. The Saints Lombardi should be irrevocably seized. 

It's no surprise anyone who would support this organization is capable of classless actions.

Everyone does realize the narrative is there and the Taints will be gifted the Super Bowl next year. After two heartbreakers and one of them an IOWEYOU expect them to run the table next year. They already get all the calls at home and the one time they don't, the entitled fanbase goes apeshit. It's Katrina 2.0 and another pity card. To casual football fans, the Saints are a story and they don't see how shitty Payton is, they forgot about bounty gate.
