Not at OT...reaching for some OTs would be a welcome change...

I can't agree with that logic. But if we do pick him I will hope for best. I could be wrong and he could turn into a stud.

Dont know why people are so opposed to this. Daryl is pretty good at RT but he could honestly be a even better guard....THAT IS IF we can find a legit LT. Thats all i will say.

Honestly most of the issues that are being noted on Williams wouldn't be problems on the interior and his strengths would be highlighted.  I'll wait to see how the rest of the offseason plays out.

Yeah, pretty much that. I mean, I think he'd make an interesting mid-round developmental pick, but as a 1st round guy expecting him to be a plug and play starter? Oh man, you're setting yourself up for a fail with that one.

Also to add.

Someone poster I believe Saca, posted a video of Williams vs Atl arguing how Williams was overrated.  Showing  how they schemed the TE to pick the edge guy and Williams help inside.

Look Familiar?

Dillard got shoved into the QB like a toy the very first play and the QB was lucky to get it off with Dillard slamming into him

They litterally brought the LSU TE over to help block for him for a majority of the rest of the game.

Yeah, lots of NFL OTs get help from TEs when facing good edge rushers. That's just the smart move. I bet we sure wish we had given Remmers more help in SB50 in hindsight.

But 1st round OT prospects should not be requiring help against college edge rushers except for maybe in cases where it's against a guy considered an elite NFL prospect. That's a big red flag.

Come on man, different scenarios. One's in pass protection and this one is run blocking.

Sorry Jourdan but I don’t see it at all. Williams wouldn’t come back on a prove it deal to be a guard and then hit FA as a guard next year when he was an all pro at OT who get paid significantly more. More likely would be Moton to G but I’m pretty damn sure those two will be our starters at tackle and all of this is moot.

Do we know for sure that they discussed those things with him, though?

Especially against some round 2-4 guys

Whats he going to do vs Cam Jordan, Vic Beasley, and JPP

get rekt, TE help or not

No exaggeration, I think the guy would be Byron Bell/Nate Chandler level bad as a rookie starter

Draftnetwork had a good article on him last week. Talking why he is going to go so high.  Pretty much based all on potential and how he's a upside project guy

They have him 140th overall and the 12th OT

https://thedraftnetwork.com/prospect-rankings

He reminds me of a John Ross version of OT.  Ross ran that record 40 in gym shorts and blew up the board taken top 10.

Dillard has eye popping foot quickness that has people drooling
