Thanks for posting this. 

I have completely committed to Dillard and now is my number one realistic prospect on my board for the Panthers to get. I'd also be very happy with Sweat or Burns both think they both will be gone by the time we draft. 

I have a funny feeling Dillard might be gone too

If we draft Dillard I'll hope that Hurney's 1st round horseshoe remains firmly lodged in his ass, but I don't like him. At all. Dillard types are why OTs have become such a risky 1st round proposition. All the physical talent, but no play in a system that actually translates to the NFL. When he was asked to play in more NFL style offense during Senior Bowl he looked like straight trash and that's not an exaggeration. He looked undraftable.

You know the draft is a complex formula. In that formula, future projection is included. Honestly, that is where Dillard is getting his Highest grade from. He is NOT a finished player, in a league that passes over 60% he has a good start tho.

Im not big on a one test relating to staying power for position group. There is an exception 3 cone for OL has shown a great correlation to NFL success. Dillard has one of the best 3 cone in the history of OT. He tested in the 97% for sparq, tops among OT. I know OL coaches want a chunk of clay, it's better if that chunk is a superior athlete.   

 Teams have adjusted to drafting WR without spending early 1st round picks, a big reason why DJ Moore landed to the Panthers. This year OT could have similar results after the flowers, fisher, Robinson mega busts.

I can't stand Belichick but the guy is right that the proliferation of hurry up spread attacks at the college level have greatly complicated the evaluation of draft prospects and the transition between college and the NFL.

You're baiscally left to try to project based on pure physical talent and pure physical talent has always been a pretty poor indicator of pro success by itself. The biggest common thread between draft busts is usually a high level of physical talent.

College OL are rarely in a three-point stance now. 

I forgot to ask would you be against draft Greg Little with the 2nd round pick?

Yes. The only OT I have bigger question marks on than Dillard is Little. I would be for someone like Risner in the 2nd. Best case scenario, he's a RT. Worst case scenario, he's a LG for us. I think he's about as safe as an OT/OL pick gets for us in the 2nd.
