What do you mean by dumpster fire? Raiders actually had a good first round. You would be bad at your job if you didn't take a tremendous talent due to their agent......

Rapp that high over some of these other safeties after trading off Mack and Cooper and sending home all their scouts this week

lot of choices that should make most of us happy...OL, FS.

Modern passing attacks don't value OTs as much,  especially not road grading run blockers who can't play the left side.

I'd rather trade back into the 2nd than move up in it. 

There's a lot of plug and play talent for us at positions like FS and CB. OL and Edge secondarily but there as well.

Before the CBA agreement that may have been the case but now it's not that difficult.

I’m good right where we are. Plenty of guys we like and you’ve got picks 78, 100 and 115. Plenty we can do with those and heck I’d be fine using next year’s 3rd to move up. FS, G, T and DL are strengths right now. Even CB. Next year’s draft is certainly not going to be as DL good and is supposed to be OL weak. If we shoot our wad, do it this year with next year’s picks. We are already at a point where shouldn’t have to worry about using next year’s 1st or 2nd.

@Marty2.0 If you trade next year’s third here’s about what you could do:

Move 47 to 33

Move 78 to 53-55

Move 100 to 64ish

Move 115 to 72ish

Move 100 and 115 to 56ish

Move 78 and 115 to 45

Given the possibility  that the Panthers could potentially need to enter the QB rat race next draft I don't feel comfortable  giving up picks there. 

Id actually prefer to ship off some 5-7 picks for future middlish round picks to partially prepare for that contingency.

If Cam is Ok then we just need a backup and we would have gotten a ton of value for a pick that ended up lower than expected. This draft suits us so I’d like to get as much as possible. If we stay put, I’m cool as well lots that I like left. 

Cam was in trouble last season and we picked in the literal middle of the draft.  3rd round picks have been hugely functional in first round movement.
