Way way too early on McC. There have been plenty of RBs who will never sniff the HoF who’ve flashed like he has for a short period (Maurice Jones-Drew, Ray Rice, etc. in recent years). If he keeps it up for a few more years then we can start talking HoF but too early right now.

Cam and Luke would have a shot if they retired today.

I disagree. MJD is already in consideration. It is relatively easy for RBs. If CMC completes this season and maybe 1 more at the level he is capable of, he's a lock.

I can understand your opinion, though.

I think Cam and Luke are already locks. Luke is a 1st ballot. Cam should be, but won't be.

Stark was our punter for a whole season. Akers, yeah. IIRC including him, a couple kickers got their start here and went on to be good starters for other teams. It is escaping me now, but I'll try to figure it out.

Luke is the only current Panther I think is a lock. Steve Smith and of course Julius Peppers are destined to get in. CMC is the next current player that will get in if he continues to produce at such an extraordinary level. Cam will have to raise his level of play. The last three years have altered his trajectory.

      I tend to look at all of these guys and wonder how committed they are to doing special teams? It's a big deal when you're fighting for roster spots. And we need massive refreshes to all phases of the special teams game. And the idea that four or five of these players could see rotational use outside of special teams would be a win. This team has accumulated quite a bit of dead wood over the last five years and its time to take an axe to some of it. These new fellows have a shot to benefit from that if they can really push. That being said, wow that receivers room is crowded right now. I'm not sure if I was a vet player with more than 2 years experience other than Adam Thielen if I'd be too sure of my future here. Tet is guaranteed a spot, Coker earned his for sure and they aren't done with XL developing yet. That's only two to three spots left for the entire room. It's going to be very competitive and better for Bryce's future, too. Safety and linebacker are the opportunity spots here this season. There's room for the right guy and we may see a starter eventually from one of these UDFAs, either by merit or injury.
